Embellish It!

Hi everyone! Saturday again woot woot! I am back again today with my Kraftin Kimmie card and this week Sheri is our hostess and she would like to see us "Embellish It". No problem!

I have used one of Cheryl Algers images, this is from the Fairy Friends collection.  Papers are some older MME and my Trinket is from the Fairy Trinkets set. I have added some stickles around the edge also and the lovely butterfly die is from my BFF Elaine. I sprayed it with some adhesive then covered it with some glamour dust glitter for some nice sparkle. Fall is coming...

Hello everyone! Well, as much as I love summer, I love fall more. I just wish winter only lasted about a month then right into spring is all. Which brings me to the DP2 challenge which is "Goodbye to Summer". I am trying again for the guest dt position, maybe one of my cards will catch their eye right?

This is Peaches and peaches and apples make me think of fall and pie, hmmm, now I am getting hungry too haha! Anyways, this is some new papers I just got, Hipster by Basic Grey and I am loving them. I have really been drawn to some darker colors lately, but hey, it is all good.

Button bonanza!

Okay, well not really a bonanza. If you know me then my cards have a few embellishments but a bonanza would be a bit of an overstatement! Anyways, our inspiration this week for La la Land Crafts is to use buttons. Now I love buttons but never seem to know how to use them. Definitely something I should work on cause they are truly nice little embellishments.

I have used Tea time Marci on my card today, I don't drink coffee but LOVE me a good cup of tea. Hot or cold, I'm not that picky.

I have used three buttons down the side of course and a sparkly little heart on the corner to balance the image a bit. My birdcage die has been coated with a layer of frontage to add a little texture to it. I am trying to make my shading a bit more dramatic so thanks to my buddy Alyce for her encouragement and inspiration.

Krafty Kardmaking Kit take 2

We've had such wonderful response at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to our first Krafty Kardmaking Kit, that we thought we do a little follow up HOP about it!!

I have chosen to use an older image, this is Batty and catty and I have tried to go for a "Bride of Frankenstein" look with her hair, not bad for a first try! I apologize, I didn't keep track of my copics this time cause I colored up the dress one way, didn't like the colors so colored over it. I promise to do better lol!

Happy Birthday Debbie!

Sunday evening already, boy do these weekends go quick! Luckily I am off work this week with lots of cardmaking on my list. Of course that list also has a bunch of "non-fun" work on it too but I think I can get some of both done.

I just saw that Mo Manning is having a call for a guest spot and since I ADORE their images, I am definitely going to play along. Here's hoping! I have used the image Patience for the "Happy Birthday" challenge and this is for my friend Debbie. She has had a bit of a rough year (a major understatement!) and although I haven't seen her in a long time she is frequently on my mind. We both have a love for cats so I thought I would make this for her to let her know I love her and I think of her often.

The papers are digital ones from Nitwit (thanks for the link Sharon) and I think you will be seeing a lot more of these, I love them! She is colored with copics and I have used a chalk pencil for a little bit of shading and a prisma pencil for some blue highlights in the background. There is also some "wheat" versamark ink around the edges but I am never able to get it to photograph well. Thanks for stopping by!

Back to School!

Today I have a little bit different project to show you for my La-la Land Crafts inspiration this week, please know this is for my 6 year old niece so you don't think I have gone off my rocker when you see it! She is starting kindergarten this year and our inspiration this week is "Back to School" so I thought I would make her a personalized backpack tag. My sister said her favorite colors are hot pink, green and purple so that was what I did.

I have colored Sweetheart Marci up with the same hair colors as my niece McKennah then I fussy cut her out and put her on some pretty dp which I backed with some white cardstock so I could put her name on the back. You could of course add your phone number, address or whatever you felt was appropriate. Next, I used a Scotch self laminating sheet to make it sturdy and protected and trimmed it smaller and rounded the corners then I glued on all the little plastic beads and an acrylic flower. I think the beads are a little over the top myself but McKennah will love them. Finally I added a chain at the top so it is easy to put on her backpack and we are ready to go! No one is gonna mistake her Dora the Explorer bag for theirs now!

I have chosen to use the Pick of the Patch on my card today, I just think she is so cute with her little pigtails. 

Paper is We R Memory keepers "Storytime" and I had someone ask me the other day if I would start listing my markers so I will try. Too late for this image but I promise to remember from now on. I made the flower by punching out some flower images, going over them with the stylus and then layering them with some flower soft in the center. Kinda like the look!

I have used three of the new images on my card today, the witch, the bats and I embossed the web in the corner for a little something extra. A tip if you emboss, I try to usually use colored ink and clear powder, that way you don't get all those little bits around the image. Anyways, this is some older DCWV paper with black netting ribbon over it and if you look at my sentiment you will see I cut the backing in half and pulled it apart a bit, a nice way to frame the sentiment easily if you can't cut out a larger size of the image.

Slippery when wet!

I have used the lovely Rayne as my image today, she is colored with copics of course and I used some MIC chipboard I painted with glitter nailpolish for the "seaweed" at the bottom. Flowers are WOC and liquid pearls for a nice accent.

Two or more dies...

Friday at last and of course that means another inspiration card for La-la land Crafts and this week we were to use two or more dies. Well, that is fairly simple but I wish I had another week as I just ordered a few more haha! Anyways, today I have used one of my fav images, this is Marci with Rose and I think she was my very first Marci image. She is retired now and only available as a digi image.

I clear embossed the frame around her then colored over it with some Memento ink to match the dp which I am just now realizing you can't really see the pretty pink roses on it. I have very aptly managed to cover up every darn flower on the paper, sigh. Foiled again. Thanks for stopping by!

Girly and glitter!

Happy Monday morning! It is suppose to be another beautiful day here in my part of the country but it almost feels like fall it has been so cool. I love fall but not so wild about what follows it!  Today I am playing along with the Mo Manning challenge which is to use the letter "G" in your card so I have gone for "girly and glitter".

This image is called Lil Ballerina and I actually colored her up several months ago but didn't like the way that card came out so I ripped off the image and it has sat on my desk up til last night.

She is colored with copics and a little bit of pencil to tone it down a bit and lots of clean and peach stickles on her tutu. Sentiment is by LOTV and the flowers are from the bridal section at Michaels. Alright, thats it from me today. Fun with Fruit!

Okay, I have to say the newest challenge this week for Kraftin Kimmies which is "Fun with Fruit" kinda threw me for a loop but I am really happy with my card. So thanks Karen, you pushed me on this one but in the end it was worth it!

My image is from the Lulu and Libby set and reminds me of my little sister and I. Except at that age I am pretty sure we wouldn't have been holding hands!

My papers are my "fruit element" and I got to use some of the gingham paper I love so much. Okay, lets see you have some fruity inspiration, whether it be paper, your image or even your sentiment and join in with us this week, we love to have you!

Hi everyone! Today I have another card from the adorable La-la land Crafts store and our inspiration this week is an easy one, "Sentimental". Now I don't know about you but I have an entire box full of sentiments so picking just one isn't easy!

This is Marci with Cat and since I have two kitties myself I fell in love with this image. I have listed my colors below and I apologize for the colors of the dress, it is a bit of a combo as I just couldn't seem to match the paper with my copics very well. Also, learn from my mistakes and be sparing with your frantage, my little sweetie now has frantage dandruff.

Whats so funny?

Hi everyone! Today I am the hostess for the twice monthly challenge over at the Oozak Challenge and boy am I lucky cause our challenge this time is "Anything goes-Funny". Woohoo! Right up my alley! Now, I think this image is cute but if I offend anyone I apologize now.

This is one of the very first stamps I ever bought and I apologize, I don't know whom it is by, there is no markings on the block that I can see. But I still giggle every time I see it.
