I love Mavis

Good morning everyone! Getting to the end of my vacation but boy have I enjoyed this time off! I have been putzing around the house like nobody's business! Worked in the yard off and on, cleaned up my crafty room, did a little shopping and hoping to go to the farmers market/flea market tomorrow.

I have another card today that I made cause first I love Mavis images and secondly I am really wanting some more Stamping Bella images so thought I would play along this week and hope for some good luck to win some bella bucks cause she has a new image coming out (and a few I haven't gotten yet) that are just itching to come and live with me.

This is called Mavis builds a sandcastle and I have used one of my new paper pads which I am loving, called Summer Fresh from SCACD. Love the navy, green, red and yellow combo. Some prima hydrangea flowers I have had forever and a beautiful pearl brad from my friend Elaine. Enjoy the upcoming weekend everyone!

Just because...

Good Morning everyone! Today I have a card I made just cause I wanted to. I love love love Cheryl Algers images and have quite a few images from her digital store that I haven't had a chance to color up so last night I sat down and whipped up this card. I might even check around and see if there are some challenges I can enter!

Papers are my newest fave, MME On the Sunny Side which are on sale now over at SCACD. The flower is by K and Company and was a lighter pink shade but I colored it with my copics to match a little better. I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Craft Room Challenge   Birthday related
Fashionista Challenge    Simply summer
Get Hippity with Ippity  Flowers and leaf
Love to Create               Add a sentiment

Fairy wishes for you

Happy early Memorial Day friends! I won't be around Monday so I am wishing you a wonderful and safe holiday now. I have a new card for eat cake graphics and have attempted to make a little scene. Not as easy as you would think! You sort of have to think ahead and plan where to put things so it all fits well. I am pleased with it though.

I have used Pixie PoppyMagical Flowers, and Mushrooms for my card, colored with both copics and Shinhan markers (thanks hubby, more colors for an early birthday present!) and a little touch of stickles to the flower centers and her wings. Paper is by PTI. Alright, enjoy your weekend and will see you next week for the latest SCASD release and talk about out of my comfort zone, that is an understatement!

Lulu on the move!

Happy Thursday everyone! Hope you are having beautiful weather wherever you may be. Today is the second release day for Kraftin Kimmie and we are debuting the ever adorable Lulu!

This is one of the images from the new release called "Lulu on the Move" which has lulu on a tricycle, on roller skates and with that awesome invention, the hula hoop! Loved the hula hoop when I was younger, not quite so proficient anymore! I am also showcasing one of the new Trinket sentiments which I am totally in love with, that circle nicely balances the square card and image to me. Papers are SEI Corinne which I got from SCACD and the corner dots are Card Candi from my buddy Elaine. Image is colored with copics and I used atyou spica glitter pens to color in the trinket. Alright, now it is time for you to leave a comment on everyones blog for your chance to win the new set of 3 Lulu images along with the included sentiments and besides, the Krafty Girls make awesome cards for great inspiration!

Exciting new stamps!

Morning all my crafty friends! I don't have a card for you today but wanted to make sure you knew about the release starting today.

We are kicking off the *New* June Kraftin Kimmie Stamps release today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a whole new line of stamps!!! We are very excited to share with you our….TRINKETS!!!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the Everyday Trinkets set which covers Birthday, Thank You, Friendship and Just Because!!! There are EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!!

A lot of the Krafty Girls are cardmakers and we have found these to be such a quick and easy way to add a sentiment to our creations but they are also perfect for your Smashbook pages and your scrapbook pages, not to mention your altered items!! I can’t wait to see them used everywhere!!!

You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber. And keep your eyes peeled for more themes because we’ve got lots more Trinkets on the way!!! So make sure to check out the other Krafty girls to see what they have in store for you!

Have you ever seen such a cute image?

Good Morning my blogging friends! I have a new card for you today and this image is from SCACD and is from the Nellie Snellen collection and is called Little Dawn watering

Is she not adorable or what! Papers are Echo park, my image is cut out with Spellbinders large circles, the butterfly is prima and although Susana is out of this particular I found some that are the same just a different paper but you better get them before I do! They are called Borboleta and I am definitely getting them! Some paper flowers,  a punched border and I used a combination of copics and Shinhan markers. Hope you enjoy and there are 2 other images with this little sweetie and several other by Nellie Snellen and you know what? I own them all! These are definitely some of my all time favorite stamps ever.

One layer card challenge

Hi everyone! Woohoo for the weekend and another Kraftin Kimmie challenge. Our hostess this week is the wonderful and talented Alyce and she would like us to make a one layer card. And I think, if you are like me, that "challenge" is the perfect word for this!

I have used Cordelia on my card along with one of the Mermaid sentiments available in the store. Some Viva Decor pearls and some bling for an accent. I have stickled her within an inch of her life and used glitter pens to accent the shells and stars in her hair which you can't see very well in the photo. Make sure you play along for your chance to win the awesome stamp Alyce used, hint hint  it is also a mermaid! And make sure you check out the Frugal Friday specials, this week they are: Mae, Caroline, Stanley the Snail, In Stitches, Canine Capers 2 and Sarah Shopper!

Wading pool

Does this scene look familiar? Waiting for the kiddie pool to fill with water took forever!

This is another winsome image by Eat Cake Graphics. I have used several images which I will link up for you and masked them to get the image itself. Some distress ink and a cloud template for the sky and I used some diamond dew drops for the rays of the sun.

A card for mom

Woohoo it's the weekend! And it is time for another Kraftin Kimmie challenge and this week, Cheryl who makes the most awesome cards ever, is asking us to make a card for "mom". Now with mothers day just around the corner this is perfect timing and I have used the adorable Lulu from the Springtime Lulu set cause my mom loves to work in the garden.

My paper is DCWV and the pretty flower border I believe is Cheery Lynn. I have used Shinhan Markers from SCASD along with some copics on the image and a little bling to finish it off. Hope you are able to join in with us for your chance to win the image Cheryl used this week.

Some exciting news and another Peeker card!

Happy late Wednesday my friends! I have had some exciting news for a bit now but this is the first chance I have had to post it, I am officially one of the designers for SCACD where you can buy not only the latest stuff out there but stamps that are designed especially for Susana and her store. And one of the latest ones is the next in the series of "Peekers".

This is Happy Mail Peeker and can be bought as an individual stamp or there is a great deal available if you purchase all 4 in this series. I have colored her with copics, paper is Buttercup by Lilybee and I have also used the Orchard Tree frame with matching Debutante frame and some liquid pearls in Ocean blue on my sentiment. And just a tip, don't color your image, think what an AWESOME idea to use the tree frame and glue it down with quick setting glue then realize, hmmm would have looked even better with a sky background! Do the sky first! On this image I took my copics and added some shading around the leaves and a bit in the background but definitely would have looked better with a sponged sky. Oh well, live and learn!
