A card for my postman

Well, I do believe this is my final Xmas card for the year and this one is for my mailman. He is a real champ trudging up to my porch on a regular basis to bring me all of my packages so I try to get him a little something every year to show my thanks.

This is Lulus ornaments from Stamping Bella and I apologize, I just got the stamp a few weeks ago but I don't see it in stock at the moment.

Papers are last years xmas ones by MME. I have stamped the image with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored them with copics then applied glossy accents to give them some shine. I have also added some small dots of glitter around the bows cause you know a card ain't a card without some glittah!  Unfortunately I am not thrilled with the brown ink around the edges but once it is there it's not coming off so we will just say it is "vintage inspired". Ok, I hope all of my blogging friends have a wonderful holiday and a  fabulous New Year! Big cyber hugs!

Blue fern chipboard giveaway

Hey guys, I just came across a new store getting ready to open and they make the most gorgeous chipboard.  Blue Fern Studios They are having a giveaway to celebrate their grand opening so check it out!

Thinking of You

Good morning everyone! Hard to believe this is the last weekend before Christmas isn't it? I hope you are all safe and sound and able to spend time with your friends/family this holiday season. I know I am thankful for my family as my dad has been thru a lot this year and my blogging friends have been there for me and my family every step of the way. I appreciate you guys immensely.

This weeks challenge for Stamping Bella is to make a card with a "Thinking of You" theme. Our fellow teammate Cathybella is a little under the weather so we are dedicating this challenge to her. You can interpret this challenge anyway you like, Thinking of You at Christmas, in the New Year, on your birthday etc etc.

I have used Prince Edward Island on my card.

I don't know the name of these papers, I cut up a bunch of 12x12 papers awhile ago and these were in the stack. She is colored with copics, Shinhan markers and prisma pencils. I have also used some chipboard from MIC, a xmas gift from my friend Alyce. Ok, make sure you comment and enter the challenge for your chance to win some bella bucks! There is still time to play along with our Bellarific Tuesday challenge over at Stamping Bella at Splitcoaststampers where the theme is white space. Just create something using Stamping Bella stamps, and upload to the SCS gallery using the keyword BELLADEC2012. The challenge will run from today until midnight EST on Monday 7th January 2013 - hope you get to join in for a chance to win $25 Bella Bucks!

New Bellarific challenge for Stamping Bella

Good Morning everyone! Todays starts a new challenge for the Stamping Bella SCS challenge and this time we want you to make a card with lots of white space. I thought this would be difficult but I am really pleased with this card. Of course I will be right back to pretty papers with my next card but nice to do something different occasionally.

I have used Fuschias for Lulu on PTI cardstock which gives it a matte finish. My fellow teamie Alice uses this on her cards so thought I would try it.

I have colored the image with a combo of copics and Shinhan markers then added some glitter around the stem and flowers with my quickie glue pen. The Sentiment is from the Uptown girl Pippa loves to plant image. Ok, check out our facebook page or Bloggabella for all the details on how to enter for your chance to win some bella bucks. And don't forget the sketch challenge going on right now, triple bella bucks are up for grabs!

Die used in my Kraftin Kimmie card

Judy left me a comment asking about the die in my Kraftin Kimmie card featuring Madeline and I apologize Judy but I couldn't find a way to contact you so the die is by Joy Crafts and is called their square frame item # 60020147. It was a xmas gift to me so hope you can locate one near you!

Ramona and her tree

Hi everyone! I have another Stamping Bella card today, trying to get these few xmas ones posted before the holiday! This is Mr Penguin goes for a ride.

I am not sure about that big snowflake in the corner now but too late, it is in the mail and on its way. I have used a soft green lace (thanks Alyce!) under the image with some prima lace on top. The image is colored with copics and Shinhan markers and I have added lots of viva decor pearl pen under her feet and the sled for snow. Ok, be sure to play along with us for the SCS and the "Thinking of You" challenge to win some bella bucks!

Sketch time at Stamping Bella

Woot woot! It's Friday and I am off to get my hair trimmed. I have more trouble with my hair, I can't style it worth a darn no matter how hard I try and it grows so slow I can't get it long enough to pull it up. I guess I should be thankful I have some and isn't gray (sorry Elaine!). Anyways, here is my card for the Stamping Bella challenge this week which was a sketch.

This is Lulu's snowman and I apologize, I don't see it in the store right now. I have torn some paper for the snow and added some stickles to give it some dimension, it actually stands up a bit irl as there are four layers there. She is colored with copics and I paper pieced her coat then added some Viva Decor hologram liner for the snowflakes. My felt bow is made with a MFT die. Ok, no challenge next week so we can all enjoy the holidays but I will be back Tuesday with another bellarific card!

Hello everyone! Well, the final days til Christmas are here and I am finally getting a few cards made. This is one of my favorite Stamping Bella characters, Mavis. And this is Mavis wearing holly. Isn't she adorable? Of course I love most cat related images so she holds a special place for me.

Ok, you still have time to play along with our sketch challenge for this Friday for your chance to win some bella bucks.

Tag Time at Stamping Bellas

Happy Friday everyone! I am off work today (working the weekend though) and I have a bunch of errands to run and then hope to get some coloring done. Todays project is a tag I have made for this weeks Stamping Bella challenge and I have used Izzie has a Prezzie.

Well, it also has lace at the bottom but I couldn't find a way to prop it up so you could see it so just imagine, okay? She is stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored with copics and some prisma pencils for the shading on her jacket. I even paper pieced her little skirt. The snowflake is a MS punch out of glitter paper with a rose attached and I have some little corner dies with stickles on them at the bottom. Ok, next weeks challenge is a sketch, oooh how I love having a sketch to work with! Make sure to play along for your chance to win some bella bucks!

WOW! I can't believe it's the end of the year already!! Well, we've got lots of amazing new stuff at Kraftin Kimmie stamps for our final release of 2012!! Get ready for our DECEMBER 2012 RELEASE!!!!!

We are kicking off the *New* DECEMBER Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a beautiful new set of Trinkets!!! We are very excited to share with you our GORGEOUS….CIRCUS TRINKETS!!!
...

What a FUN set of awesome new stamps....and I don't suppose it's going to be too hard to figure out what theme one of the artists worked with this month, hunh??

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the CIRCUS Trinkets set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!! You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber.

A lot of the Krafty Girls are cardmakers and we have found these to be such a quick and easy way to add a sentiment to our creations or to use as the focal point on your cards! They are also perfect for your Smashbook pages and your scrapbook pages, not to mention your altered items and tags!! No stamper's stash is complete without them!

Today we have awesome samples that the Krafty Girls have put together for you....and be sure to comment on each and every stop because one lucky stamper is going to WIN the new CIRCUS TRINKETS set!!! {And just WAIT 'til you see how they combine with our other NEW December stamps!!!}

Happy kraftin'!

I have used the newly released Krafty Katastrophe and one of the new Circus Trinkets. This is so me and one of my cats Lucy! She is forever stealing things from my craft room but I wouldn't have it any other way, she is a lot of fun. She was carrying felt around the other day like it was an animal she had caught. Goofy. Ok, make sure you comment on everyones blog below for your chance to win a set of Trinkets!

My grandmothers birthday card

Hi everyone! Today I am showing you the birthday card I made for my grandmother, she turned 90 last week and we had a surprise birthday party for her on Saturday. She is a lot of fun and doing very well for her age, she still lives by herself (and her fat pomeranian Pritzi), walks all over the town and has a great sense of humor. Love ya Grandma Eisley! Oh, and Leslie, if you are reading this, you asked me on my last Bella post how I get the stickles around my image so neat. I apologize but I couldn't find anyway to email you back but all I do is follow the indention from my spellbinders die. And if the stickles is colored I do color the edge of the image with a matching copic as the stickles tends to shrink as it dries. Hope that helped!

I thought she might like this image by Stamping Bella called Lulu loves Poppies. She is colored with copics and prisma pencils, paper is MME and flowers are prima. I have added some stickles to the center of the flowers for a little bling and used a paper punch for the scalloped borders. Ok, make sure you check back Friday for my next Stamping Bella card!

Santa Claus image by Sugan Nellie

Good Morning everyone! It is Sunday morning here and the weather outside is warm but gray and overcast. I have done all of the normal weekend chores so hope to sit down and color a bit today. Does it seem to anyone else when they have time to color they find other things that need done and when they have to do other things all they want to do is color? No wonder men don't understand us!

Anyways, I made this card a few weeks ago for a xmas card exchange on the Sugar Nellie facebook page and since Karen let me know she received it I am gonna go ahead and post it cause I was really pleased with it. Chuffed I guess if you are in the UK! Haha!

This is Old Saint Nick from Sugar Nellie and I just love his expression. Do you guys see that sparkly snowflake I added? It is a stickpin and my wonderful and generous friend Elaine sent it to me a year or so ago. I tell you it took everything I had to put it on a card and mail it away! It just glimmers and sparkles like you wouldn't believe. Oh, I also used some gray for my shading on the red, a tip I got from my friends Melanie and Elaine and it really does add a nice depth. Are cardmaking buddies not the best or what? Ok, that is it for me today. Hope everyone has a great week!

Sketch challenge at Stamping Bella

Good Morning my crafty friends! Today I am showing you the card I made for the Stamping Bella challenge which was a sketch. I have used Martha Lulu for my card today.

I believe my paper is some older Prima I got at my lss a year or so ago, lace from my stash and she is colored with copics and prismacolor pencils. I am really loving the added depth I get with the pencils. I have used them before but sorta got away from them and have picked them up again the past few weeks. Sometimes I just can't seem to get my shadows dark enough with my copics. I have added some stickles to her wings, her star and around the edge of my nestie. Next week we want to see "tags" for our weekly challenge, it can be an actual tag or even one you put on a card, and make sure to check out our Bellatastic challenge on SCS? You could play along there too as our current challenge is "Anything goes" and be in the running for $25 in bella bucks. Very generous of Emily I must say! Good luck everyone, can't wait to see what you make!

Oceanic eyes

Hi everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful holiday if you are here in the states. I have a couple of days off this week so definitely hoping to get some crafting in. Today I am showcasing my last card as a member of the SCACD dt. Susana and the rest of the team are wonderful to work with but since I have accepted an invitation to be on another team that I have always dreamed of being on something had to give and unfortunately it was SCACD. But if you ever get a little note from Susana asking if you would like to design for her, definitely consider it. She is a wonderful generous person to design for. Ok, now for my card.

This is Oceanic eyes from the latest release and I believe the papers are older prima. She is colored with copics and Shinhan markers and cut out with a spellbinders die. I have colored the matching little crab with copics also then applied a layer of glossy accents. I have also used a Viva Decor glitter liner in hologram around the edges of my sentiment. Love it cause it adds such a nice fine line of glitter. Ok, have a good day and make sure to check out the other SCACD girls blogs for some more inspiration.

Stamping Bella challenge

Hey everyone! Hope you have been enjoying the Kraftin Kimmie release and  be sure to check back tomorrow, we have some new Cheryl Alger images and a new series Kimmie is showing off this month.

I got a chance to make a card to play along in the Stamping Bella challenge which is a sketch, my favorite kind of challenge.

This is Eve under the mistletoe and she is colored with copics and Shinhan touch twin markers. I have added some Glamour dust to her dress and my flowers are WOC. The holly leaves are from my local craft store, definitely going back for more of them! Ok, enjoy your evening!

Travel Trinket Time

Ha! Can you say that title three times fast? Today starts the new release for Kraftin Kimmie stamps and today we are showcasing the latest Trinket release.

My project today is something I have never done before and I apologize cause I couldn't get decent pictures but irl I am really pleased with it!

I made a wine tag, ok sparkling cider tag but what the hey? I took a Ranger #10 tag and covered it with the fabulous glitter paper I bought at my local craft store and added one of the new Trinkets onto a doily and adhered to it. Flowers and pearls are WOC. Oh, I punched the hole in the top with a cirlce punch. This took me all of 20 minutes to do but it really looks pretty irl. Ok, make sure you leave a comment on all of the Krafty girls blogs for your chance to win a set of Trinkets and come back tomorrow for another preview!

Saturday everyone and time to celebrate with some "Food or drink" which is the challenge this week at Kraftin Kimmies and our hostess this week is Kerry and she is using Grace whcih will be your prize if you join in and are the lucky winner of this weeks challenge.

I have chosen to use Nettie for my card today as I haven't had a chance to ink her up yet.

Papers are older Memory Box and I have used a Holiday Trinket and smeared some stickles over it to give it a little bling. I have also outlined my nestie with stickles for a finished edge. Ok, your turn to get Krafty now and show us your card for your chance to win, just make sure you use a Kraftin Kimmie image to be eligible to win the prize. Also, don't forget to check out the Frugal Friday Specials by clicking on the Deals, Deals, Deals section in the shop.  They are all winter themed and "must haves" for your stamping arsenal.

Little Draco

Woohoo almost to the weekend. I am working tomorrow but all is good, I was off Monday and that made for a nice long weekend. Today the girls from SCACD are showcasing the lastest release and we have all chosen a different image so you can perhaps see them in a new way. Always fun to see someone else's take on an image.

I have used Little Draco and have colored him with both copics and Shinhan Touch twin markers with some shading in blue around the outer edge using Prismacolor pencils.

I have used a Classic Timepiece die in the corner and some Petaloo velvet hydrangeas in the corner. Papers are an older Prima pad but SCACD has a large selection of papers for you to chose from to suit your own taste. Ok, make sure you check out all the other girls to see their projects.

Papers are Kaisercraft and I don't see these particular ones but I believe they are new so may not be listed yet, they are called Pickled Pear. She is colored with copics and Shinhan touch twin markers. Flowers are WOC and I have used stickles in diamond on her wings and around the die. Ok, see you later in the week! I am entering this into:

SCACD blog hop time!

This is SCACD's last 2 stamp releases of the year! We're bringing you cuteness from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD with 4 new adorable stamps in the Sampler #8 Collection. We also have Susana Loves Stamps new collection- Mythical Reflections which brings you 4 more mythical stamps to help inspire you and help you create! Be sure to check out all the details on the SCACD store blog and hop along with the SCACD DT as we showcase these amazing new stamps!

If you are following along in the blog hop you should have arrived here from Suzanne's blog. I have two images today, the first one is from the SCACD Mythical Reflections release and she is called Dawn's Fairy.

She is colored with both copics and Shinhan Touch Twin markers, the papers are Basic Grey Plumeria and I have made some pearls for the corners using the Viva Decor pearl pen. I wanted to keep the background simple as this is such a large and dramatic image.

Next up is Butterfly Kisses by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.

I have colored her again with both copics and Shinhan markers, paper is Basic Grey Lucille and I have masked her and created the tulip background using a MIC background and the chipboard in the corner is also by MIC that I colored with my Shinhan markers and added a dab of stickles to the flowers and a pearl in the center. Ok, that is it for me today, the stamps are now available and if you buy an entire set Susana is giving you a discount and make sure you check out all of the goodies in the store while you are there! Next on the hop is Lori.

A pastel gift tag

Well, hopefully everyone has weathered the storm well this week. I have a new project for you today and I have used another one of the Ranger #10 tags to make my gift card holder. I have creased approx 2 inches up from the bottom, applied some tape to the edges and folded it back to make a pocket to hold a gift card on the back and decorated the front.

I was in a pastel mood so that is the colors I worked with this time. Image is Wee present by Sylvia Zet and there is an entire set also available at a discount too. She is colored with copics and I have accented her wings with stickles in diamond, my fav one. The sentiment is Kaisercraft and the poinsettia is make from a Spellbinders die. Susana doesn't have this one available at the moment but she has others that really finish off your item nicely. I have colored the white edges with a gray copic marker cause frankly, I am not that good at cutting out those intricate little bits. Not sure I like it but the white background seemed really harsh. Something to work on I guess. Ok, that's is for me today. Make sure you check back at the end of the week, we have some new images for you to check out!

The end of the Halloween cards

Hi everyone! Well, as long as Frankenstorm hasn't knocked out my power you will be seeing this post on time! Today is my last post as a guest designer for Cupcake Crafts Challenges and I want to thank Faye and the girls for asking me. Our challenge this week is to use a witch or a pumpkin or both if you like! My image is a Simply Betty image called Witchy Boo.

Ok, I am aware the sentiment is a Kraftin Kimmie birthday Trinket image but this is for my best friend Kathy who's birthday was Saturday and she loves all things "witchy". Papers are this years K and Company and I have used a MD border punch for the spider web on the side. She is colored with my usual copics and I have outlined the nestie with stickles in black diamond. One tip, if you use colored stickles around the edges of your nestie, I always color the edge with a similar colored marker before that way the paper doesn't show thru when the stickles dry as they tend to shrink a bit. Ok, one more Halloween card and your chance to win!

The snow is coming...

Sunday morning and if you are in my neck of the woods you are preparing for the predicted big storm that is suppose to hit the East coast sometime tomorrow. Well, I am as prepared as I can be but sure do wish I looked like Quinn and her boots which is the image on todays card.

I have used Fancy Pants Hopscotch papers, she is colored with both copics and Shinhan markers and my accent stamp in the corners is Itty bitty corner stamp by Lockhart. My shading on the corner images and around Quinn is done with prismacolor pencils. I have used some of the new Art Anthology gelate in frost for my snow, I just applied it with a palette knife and then took a qtip and dabbed it to make some texture. Really pretty. Some stickles glitter glue to the edges of my sentiment and ribbon and flower from my stash. Alright, hope everyone is having a great weekend and you are able to stay warm and dry. I would like to enter my card into the Blogabella challenge which is a sketch challenge, my fav!

This is so not me!

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! Today I am showing you another one of the images available at SCACD and this one is also by Victoria Case, I just love her images. This one is called Skater. I cannot skate or ski worth a darn but I am really good at drinking hot chocolate!

Again, she is colored with a combo of copics and Shinhan Touch Twin markers. The papers are older My Minds Eye but again, Susana has a wonderful choice of papers available but they go quick! I no sooner find some I like before they are gone so you gotta be quick and check back often! The corner embellishment is made from a die my friend Elaine and the lace is from my stash, flowers from WOC but SCACD has a nice selection too to fit any color scheme. Ok, make sure you come back Friday for a special blog hop for SCACD!

Time for a sled ride!

Good Morning my crafty friends! For the next few days I am gonna showcase some SCACD images for you. Todays card features one of the Victoria Case images called I Got your Back.

She is colored with both copics and Shinhan Touch Twin markers. I have cut her out with a Labels 26 die and outlined the edge with what is now my favorite embellishment, my Viva Decor glitter pen in hologram. I have also filled in her ear muff with the pen for a little extra bling. The sentiment is a Trinket from Kraftin Kimmies. Papers are an older Basic Grey pad but Susana has lots of pads to choose from and they are always available for a great price! Ok, check back tomorrow, I have another card for you!

Paper Piecing at Cupcake Crafts

Hello hello! I hope you enjoyed all of the new Kraftin Kimmie images over the past few days. Today I have a card as guest designer for Cupcake Craft Challenges and our challenge this week is "paper piecing". I love to see this on an image and don't do it nearly enough. My image today is from Make it Crafty and for those of us here in the states she is also available at SCACD.

I have cut her out with a nestie, used my trusty Vica decor glitter liner for around the edges and on her wings. I don't see these particular papers in stock but SCACD has lots of holiday papers in right now and just listed a bunch more. Ok, make sure you check out the other girls cards and join in for your chance to win this week!
