Saturated Canary bookmark

Well, the beginning of another week and back to work tomorrow for me. I have truly enjoyed my time off, vacations are a wonderful thing! Today I have made a card for a friend of mine who was just diagnosed with breast cancer (hugs Jacy!).

The image I have used is called "Boobie" and was a freebie from Saturated Canary awhile ago. The challenge this week for them is to make a bookmark and I thought that would also be perfect for her, now to just find a book to suit her funny personality! I am also asking all of my blogging buddies not only to keep Jacy in your thoughts but a prayer for my dad who is going in for a biopsy of his lung on Tuesday. He had a heart attack Christmas Day and now the possibility of cancer is in his future. He has recovered well from the heart attack and I am a firm believer in the power of prayer so thanks in advance to everyone who sends a little prayer skyward for him and my family.

What a fabulous bookmark. The DP is gorgeous with all the elements you added. I think I'd be busy staring at your bookmark more than reading a book. LOL. Have a great week.

Oh Amanda, I will add your Dad to my prayers. That is just terrible. I pray that it all works out and the both Jacy and your Dad come through both with flying colors. Jerry lost his sister 15 years ago one day after her 48th Birthday, so as you can guess breast cancer is a major thing that we are all so supportive when it comes to donating and buying any and everything we can that supports it. We however feel that all cancers are just so terrible and we try our best to donate to any of it so that one day everyone can survive this terrible thing. I am however glad to hear that you Dad survived his heart attack. Mine had one in March of 2000 and I am pleased to say that come Oct. he will turn 76 and he hasn't smoked a cigarret since the day it happened. Take care and if you need to talk to anyone, I am just an email away. Hugs always, Lisa

Oh btw, this bookmarker is adorable and I am so going to make one tonight. I love making them and Mitchell still loves reading paperbacks, so I always make him a new on for each book he reads. He likes to write what the book was called on the back and the date that he finished the book. He then puts them in a scrapbook so that one day he can show his own babies what he liked and read as a young man.
Hugs, Lisa

I have this freebie in my computer too, and I've never used it. Note to self, whenever I do, don't post a photo because it cannot live up to this beauty! Hair is beautiful, but her shirt! Just stunning! Such a thoughtful gift for your friend too. I will say a prayer for her and your dad too. Hoping for good news...
