Ballerina babe!

Welcome to day two of the newest Kraftin Kimmie release and today we are showcasing some new images by Cheryl Alger called Lil Athletes and Good Sports. I have used Lulu as a ballerina for my card today and tried something a little different with her tutu. See if you can guess what I did!

Can you guess? Well, they are small flowers by recollections I cut apart, stickled the edges and then layered them back up again. It definitely adds dimension haha! I am trying to push myself to try some new things and think out of the box a bit.

Flowers feed the soul

Good morning everyone! Today starts the new Kraftin Kimmie release and we are starting off with something a little different, there are two new sets being released today and I have used the floral set called "Flowers Feed the Soul".

Along with a different style of image from Kimmie I have also tried something out of my comfort zone, my friend Maria "made" me buy some inktense pencils cause I love her work so I gave them a shot on my image today. Not great but definitely something fun to play with!

I stamped the image with Versamark then embossed with white embossing powder then colored in with my pencils on some kraft cardstock. I do love the bold colors, bet it will be even better on white paper!

Texture!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all having lots of inspiration and enjoying the weather wherever you might be. Today is our next challenge for the Oozak Challenge Blog and out theme this time is "texture".

I have used an image by Sugar Nellie from their new Return to Fairy Glen release but I don't see it available at the moment. This card is for my sweet friend Patty so I hope she likes it!

I have also used some of the bling I got for my birthday in the form of the butterfly and the pearl on the bow. I have used some frantage embossing powder around the edges of my image (still working with that stuff! tricky little bits!) and used my copic blender pen to create some faint spots on the green mushrooms. Flowers are WOC and a mushroom from etsy. I also used a chalk pencil to darken up the shading on the mushrooms. The rest of my products are listed below and are all available online at the Oozak store.

Stars and Stripes

Hi everyone! I hope all of my fellow US citizens had a wonderful 4th of July and perhaps even get a nice long weekend. We had a nice restful day with both of us off work and are heading up to our camp for a couple of days then back to the rat race.

Today we were asked to use "Stars and Stripes" as our inspiration for La-la land crafts and I have used Saluting Luka to celebrate the 4th of July.

Papers are again a mish mash as I am trying to use stuff up, my stars are diecuts and they have buttons on them for a little bling and texture. The copics I used are listed below. Enjoy your holiday weekend!
