Nature inspired

Good morning everyone and welcome to the weekend! This has been a great week for me, I got some great news (more on that later), the weather is beautiful and I have my friends and family, doesn't get much better does it? Anyways, our challenge this week at Kraftin Kimmie's is brought to you by none other then Moi and it is "Nature Inspired". Fall always makes me think of beautiful leaves, acorns and mums so that is where I got my challenge from.

I have chosen to use one of the latest release's by Rachelle Ann Miller, this is Santa and pup and I have added a pine tree die cut and some lovely flowers to tie into the nature theme.

His bag is paper pieced and 3 dimensional and I have added glamour dust glitter to the snow and white sparkly fluff to his hat and coat trim. Papers are by Christmas Village by Best Creations. Fairytale time at La-la

Good morning everyone, today I am showing you a card for the current inspiration at La-la Land crafts which is "Fairytale". And I thought what better image for a fairytale then a fairy right? This is Rose Faerie Marci.

I tried a new blush combo and it is perhaps a bit too bright, oh well, live and learn. She has glitter on her wings and pearls on her dress, what more could a Faerie ask for right? The sentiment is by Whimsy stamps and I have added a little frantage to the edges of the image.

Batgirl Marci

Hi everyone! Well, it's Friday wootwoot! And today I am showing you my second card for the La-la land crafts Halloween release which is available for purchase now. Here is a photo of all of the new products.

Today I am showcasing Batgirl Marci along with some of the elements from the new Halloween Frames and Shapes Kit and the new Spiderweb corner die.

This is a little "dark" for me but hey, it's Halloween inspired right? I have embossed the oval frame with some marcasite embossing powder and used black stickles on the bats. The frame is just painted with black acrylic paint for some different textures.

La-la Land Crafts Release

Hello everyone! I hope most of you are having some of the beautiful weather we have had here in my neck of the woods for the past week, it has been gorgeous. Trying to take it all in before the bad weather settles in.

Today we are showcasing the new Halloween release for La-la Land Crafts. There are several new images, dies and frames available and here is a peek of them. All images and products are available now.

I have colored up Cauldron Marci today and all of the links and my list of copics is at the end of the post.

I have made the pumpkins 3D by cutting out the image three times with the die, the first one I left whole, the second one I cut off the outer sections and the last one I cut out the center piece. Then I shaded them a bit and popped them up with some Pinflair glue although foam dots would also work. Papers are MME from Michaels and the little glitter dots are my new obsession, love them! Okay, tomorrow I have another card to show you so I would love to see you again!

Today I have tried to make a little container for some candy to give to a friend and I have used one of the Just Chillin images. 

I have used a little chinese take out container I had and covered it with some paper from last year and then added an icicle border. My image is simple and a couple of metallic snowflakes for a little touch.

Bright Birthday!

Hi everyone! Time for another inspiration post for La-la land Crafts and this week we are making projects with the theme of "Bright Birthday". Well, I love bright colors on my cards and making birthday cards is my favorite type so this was easy peasy!

I have used Autumn Marci on my card today and papers are Poppy by Little Yellow bicycle.

I have added some bright yellow ribbon and flowers from WOC for a finishing touch. Everything is better with flowers don't you think? Make sure you come back next week, we are going to be showcasing the new Halloween dies and images!

Today I am showcasing Lulu with antlers, she is one in a set of three images. I have paper pieced her dress and although you can't see it in the photo it is quite 3 dimensional as I used some Pinflair glue to adhere it. (Thanks Elaine!)

Papers are Merry and Bright by Carta Bella and I have also used another one of the new Build your own Trinkets being released this week. I like to stamp my images with black versafine ink then emboss with clear embossing powder, it really makes the letters pop!

My papers are Christmas This and That by Echo Park. He is colored with copics and I have used a variety of snowflake diecuts on the image.

Today I have chosen to use an image from the Springtime Lulu set but have used some autumn colors to change it up a bit. 

I have used my silhouette again to cut out the frame and my nail polish trick for the leaves.

Steampunk tag

Woohoo! Friday at last, and I only had to work 4 days this week lol! I enjoy my job but am definitely glad when the day is over. Anyways, our inspiration for the La-la Land Crafts blog this week is "tags" and I decided to try my hand at steampunk.

I have used some gold glitter nail polish and silver metallic nail polish to paint the gears and corner piece, it adds a great touch and gives me another reason to buy more! I also cut out her wings on my silhouette and painted them with nail polish also. My papers are an older pad by Glitz and the sentiment comes with the stamp. My links and copics are listed below.

Dandelions!

Hello! So glad you popped by today to see my latest card, this is another one for the newest DP2 challenge and I have used Make a Wish for my card today for the "Anything Goes" challenge this week. I have been wanting to color her up for awhile and even pulled out my silhouette SD this week to add some cutouts to the card.

Unfortunately you can't see it but there is a little bit of sparkle on the all of the dandelions and gem centers in the cut outs. I used flowers from the wedding section at Michaels and added some yellow flower soft to the center of them to look like daisies. I have also colored the white on her using the C copics my buddy Cheryl suggested on her blog, not bad for a first try!  Okay, entering the guest dt spot again, thanks for all of the good luck wishes I have gotten so far, I truly appreciate them!

Dies and punches challenge

Hello everyone and today is the start of a new challenge over at the Oozak challenge blog and for this challenge we would like to see you use "Dies and/or punches". Super simple right?
