Embossing, err.. sort of

Happy Saturday everone! By the time you are reading this I should be on my way to Akron Ohio for the Adventures in Stamping show which I look forward to every year. Have some pennies saved, a husband who is willing to be my "mule" and a comfy pair of shoes out. Life is good!

Anyways, today the challenge at Kraftin Kimmies is embossing and I, um, sort of forgot about it til my card was done! I was on a roll and it totally slipped my mind but, I was able to save my card and heat embossed a little butterfly for on my bow.

This is one of our latest release images, Have a Sunshiney Day and I think she is cute as can be. The sentiment is also one of  our latest Trinkets called BFF Trinkets. I think this is my favorite set so far, really versatile.

Whimsy release

Hello and welcome to the Whimsy Stamps April Release Review Day Blog Hop! Yesterday (24 April) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs, Shapeology dies, Whimsy Designer Paper packs and new Shape EZ templates. From 23 April until today the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guest are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily blog hop and I am part of today's hop! Each blog hop has a prize of 2 new release stamps hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw.

 For my blog hop card, I inked up Rosetta today. I am using the new Authentique papers and some of the frantage embossing powder on my butterflies. She is colored with copics and shinhan markers and I have used some darker tones for this image. The sentiment is also new from the latest release.

Mo Manning springtime

Good evening everyone! I don't normally post at night but was able to color up this image over the weekend and was so pleased with it I wanted to post it right away, also so I don't forget! Ya know, getting older and all that!

I have used one of the new Spring release images from Mo Manning called April and she is one of my favorite images ever. 

Papers are new graphic 45 Secret Garden and I have used one of the BFF Trinkets by Kraftin Kimmies in the corner. The flowers are a Memory Box violets die with liquid pearl centers. She is colored with copics and I used some prisma pencils for some added depth. Okay, this is my entry into the Mo Manning dt call, crossing my fingers!

Release day for Whimsy stamps

Good Morning everyone! Today is release day for Whimsy stamps and we also have a new challenge which is to use "pink" on your card. I am showcasing a new image by Chrissy Armstrong today.

Isn't she sweet? All of the images are now available in the store for you also and come back tomorrow for one last review of all the new products. You have until May 7th to join this month's challenge which is "Pretty in Pink" and as always we have 3 prizes up for grabs: a $15 gift certificate, 5 digi stamps, and 1 surprise rubber stamp. Wee stamps release for Whimsy Stamps

Hello and welcome to the Whimsy Stamps April Release Sneak Peak Blog Hop! We have changed our rubber release schedule from this month onwards. We are now going to host a 3-day new release event where we will have a Sneak Peek Blog Hop on the day before the release, a Release Day Blog Hop on release day, and finally a Review Day Blog Hop the day after the release. Each blog hop has a prize of 2 new release stamps hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw. Today we are excited to share sneak peeks of some of the brand new Wee Stamps, Kenny K and Momas Collection stamps that will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store TOMORROW!

For my blog hop card, I inked up one of the new Wee stamps images, a little bit softer then my normal bright colors but I really like her.

I added just a touch of blue for some accent color, papers are Graphic 45 Secret Garden and she is colored with a combo of copics and Shinhan markers. I made the little white flowers using my Martha Stewart hydrangea punch with some liquid pearls in the centers.

Tic Tac Toe!

Well, welcome back for another super fun challenge here at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! We are LOVING your submissions!!! You're rockin' these challenges!! It's awesome to see so many of you creating with KKS!!! Keep them coming!

And I have used Blue, gem and dies on my card for today featuring the Lexi from the new Lets Dish the Dirt. I have used Simple Stories Vintage Bliss paper which Kimmie also has for sale in the store. My dies are Memory Box phlox and they have a little gem in the center. I have colored her with both copics and shinhan markers with a little chalk pencil for shading.

A "Thank You" for Oozak

Hello everyone! I am excited to be back today for another guest position for Oozak and for my card today I using one of the Saturated Canary images called Thank You. I have to say I think the faces on these images are adorable but I have personal issues with their big feet but this one is just darn cute. Our challenge this month is "Lace, Ribbon and Pearls" and I remembered all three, patting myself on the back haha!

I have tried to do some lighter colors with this image and am really pleased with how it came out. I don't do a lot of blond hair but this combo worked well. It is E50, E51, Y26 and YR27 if you would like to know. The sentiment is from Kraftin Kimmies new Trinket release and the paper is Divine by Prima. Ok, make sure to play along and you could be the next guest designer or even win an awesome prize from them. And if you are looking for great service and prices, Oozak can't be beat!

Release Day!

I added a fence die (thanks Patty!) but it was a little too white and blended in so I put a little distress ink on it and now it just looks dirty but I am pretending I meant for that to happen as it is a boy card and gardening related right?

Fabulous Frames!

Today at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps we are sharing a new set of FABULOUS FRAMES!! You were so in love with the ones we released last month that we've gone and done another gorgeous set!!! There are two lovely frames in the set....one a fancy rectangular frame and one rather ornate and stunning.... PLUS there are several words and phrases as a bonus with the set!!! These frames can be used on their own as the focal point of your creation or in addition to any of your other image stamps!! It's FABULOUS FRAMES 2!!!

I have used the rectangular frame today (there is also a gorgeous ornate one) and trimmed out the insert pieces after I stamped it then placed it over some pretty floral papers to make the frame "pop". Papers are Prima and I know Kimmie has some pads in her shop, not this particular one but lovely ones nonetheless. My sentiment is from last months Fabulous Frames release.

Kraftin Kimmie April release!

Guess what today is? It's the start of the April release for Kraftin Kimmie stamps

We are kicking off the *New* APRIL Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and of course we're starting off with new TRINKETS!! Today we’d like to introduce you to an awesome new set of ….BFF TRINKETS!!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the BFF Trinkets set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!! You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber. They're just PERFECT for all your friendly creations!!!

I have chosen to use one of the new Fairy Friends images by Cheryl Alger and one of the BFF Trinkets, so far my fav ones!

Papers are by Simple Stories and although Kimmie doesn't have this one in the shop, she does have several others you can check out. Oh, and just so you know, copics with stickles on top doesn't always work so well if you notice the wings. Just helping you to avoid the aggravation by being an example for you!

Woohoo! All kinds of challenges today!

Good morning and happy Saturday to all of my wonderful blogging buddies! Well, for those of you who know, we got a new kitty last weekend and so far so good, slow progress but we are getting there. Also, my dad has now gone to hospice but it has taken a load off of my parents minds so although sad it is also a good thing. I appreciate all the well wishes you guys have sent to me, blogging buddies are the best!

Ok, this weeks challenge at Kraftin Kimmies is brought to us by the amazing Krista and she would like to see flowers on your card. Now wait! Papers are an older set by Basic Grey, flowers are WOC and a misc rose and there is a little wooden mushroom in there too that I painted with some Viva Decor paints. And do you see that  elegant butterfly? That is a gift from my buddy Elaine and I toned down the gold with a copic marker a bit to make it fit in with the nature theme a bit more and I have added a rhinestone on top of it also.
