Flutterby Wednesday time!

Happy middle of the week! Time for another challenge at Flutterby Wednesdays and our sponsor this week is Paper Pretties. If you are looking for whimsical, this is the place to go!

The image I have used is called Garner and I used some new Bo Bunny papers to liven him up a bit. The sentiment is LOTV (thanks Elaine!) and the flowers are punched shapes with some liquid pearls in the center. My butterfly is kraft paper cut out on my silhouette machine and a little bit of stickles in the center of my daisies for a little sparkle. Alright, lets see your creations for a chance to win some goodies from Paper Pretties!

Two week challenge at Tiddly Inks!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Two more days until Thanksgiving, I can hardly believe it. Friday I will spend putting up Christmas decorations, no way am I fighting crowds to go shopping! For the next two weeks at Tiddly Inks we are still having an "Anything Goes" challenge plus you get an extra week to participate due to the holiday, pretty nice of Christy huh?

Ok, another card I really like but who wouldn't love using Lilli Claire warm wishes huh? The paper is Basic Grey from a couple of years ago, the silver trim is for Xmas tree decorating and is from my buddy Patty, adds a nice little sparkle to the card. The sentiment is actually heat embossed with silver powder but you can't really tell in the photo. Alright everyone, we are giving you an extra week to play along for your chance to win some digi images from the store so let's see what you got and make sure you post it at Tiddly Inks Challenge blog! We would love to see what you make!

Simon Says Stamp challenge at Paper Sundaes

Good morning all my blogging friends! This week at Paper Sundaes we are being sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp and the challenge this week is Beautiful Bows. Now I will occasionally put a  bow on my card but the only way I get them to look nice is to use this little gadget I saw on Becca's blog called a peg bow maker. It is so simple and I grab it everytime I need to make one. Yes, I have the bow easy but I don't really care for it (Patty do you want it?) but the peg bow maker is awesome!  Anyways, I have used a cute Christmas image by CC Designs called Reindeer Lights.

I have to say I reallllly like this card and I have already had one of my friends take it from me! Might have to make me another one! I have colored him with copics with some prismacolor pencils to deepen the shading a bit. The bow is actually attached to the bottom ribbon with glue so it would lie down sideways. He has some glossy accents on his nose and all of the lights and some bling with the snowflake. Okay everyone, if you want a chance to win a gift certificate from Simon Says Stamp you gotta play so make your bows however you like and post your link on the main site. Good luck! I would like to enter this into the All that scraps challenge which is thankful. I am thankful my Christmas tree is prelit or I would look like this too!

Guess who else I'm designing for!

If you guessed Flutterby Wednesdays you would be right! Danni wrote me a few weeks ago after I had played along in a challenge and asked if I would like to be part of the team. Say what? Of course I would love to play along! I love butterflies, angels and fairies and enjoy being able to actually ink up some of the  few, errrr hundred, stamps I have sitting in my craft room. The image I used today is from the etsy shop of Saturated Canary aka Krista Smith. Now I have to say I avoided these images cause I am just not a cankle kind of girl but those eyes really drew me in.

I am entering this into the Saturated Canary challenge blog which is to use fall colors. And if you want to play along this week with Flutterby Wednesdays the challenge is Anything Goes! Just make sure you include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card and you are set!

Anything goes at Tiddly Inks!

Hi everyone! Hope your Tuesday is going well. The challenge today at Tiddly Inks is easy, ANYTHING GOES!  So let's see what you got, perhaps get some of those Christmas cards done huh?  My image is called Awww thanks and was requested by one of the girls I work with for her preceptor.

I am still fiddling with my picture taking but I think this one is a little bit better. This is a new paper pad I just got and LOVE! It is called Piccadilly by Basic Grey and the colors and retro flowers are right up my alley. Make sure you hop over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and enter for your chance to win some stamps!

Pink Cat Studio time at Paper Sundaes!

Good morning everyone! Hope your week is starting out well. I am probably out buying a new dishwasher when you are reading this as mine is periodically choosing not to run.

Anyways, today at Paper Sundaes we are being sponsored by the awesome Pink Cat Studios and the challenge is to use a digi image. Now I personally love digis, more bang for your buck and instant gratification.  My image is called Lily Elf carrying tree and I think she is adorable and I am really pleased with the card too.

I used (finally!) my banner die from Whimsy stamps and a border die from MFT, some chipboard snowflakes and some bright papers and Lily is on her way! So now it is your turn to make up something using a digi and if you haven't tried them before you might just be surprised how great they are!

My first blog hop with Sparkle N Sprinkle!

Hi everyone! Well this is my first blog hop with the Sparkle N Sprinkle design team and I am telling you, they have really made me step out of my comfort zone! Minimal copic coloring can you believe it? Our blog hop is about different Cultures. You should have arrived here from Linda's blog and if you get lost along the way just hop back to the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog page to pick up where you left off. My first card is more of an elegant theme and although I wouldn't consider it Asian it does have a little bit of that with the doily medallion for the center.

I have inked up only the center of the stamp image to try and make it look like the doilies that are so popular right now. The image is from the Frames and Borders set and I used Antiquities embossing powder on the image and the sentiment which is from the Just for You set. Some designer paper and lace and a simple but elegant card.

My next image is a tag using the same set of stamps, Frames and Borders, but in addition to using the center image again, I also used the flower border along the bottom.

Some more designer paper and paper flowers and you have a little tag to add to gift. The next stop is at Shona's blog and make sure you comment on everyone's blog as there are prizes to be had!
