Challenge card

Hey everyone, this is the card I am entering into the kraftin kimmie challenge which is to make it "girlie" and also the paperworks company challenge which is where I got the sketch from. It also happens to be a birthday card for another friend at work so I am killing like 3 birds with one stone as the saying goes. I have used Garden Vignettes from My Minds Eye and Garden Party from DCWV for the papers, and although they are hard to see I have used the white viva decor pearl pen in the corners. Black velvet ricrac across the bottom and some pink stickles on her skirt and feather to give it some bling. All colored with my copics.
Gonna try to make another card today as I seem to be on a roll. Just Inklined has some great images and they have an opening for a guest designer so wish me luck! Enjoy the beautiful weather, I am sitting here with my window open with a slight breeze coming in and a bird of some sort chirping away. Won't be much longer til I can't do that without freezing my behind off. (If only that actually worked I'd be sticking body parts outside all the time!)

Have a mice day!

This is a whipper snapper image I haven't used yet. Have had it for awhile but just didn't ink it up. Well, a friend is having a birthday this week so this is gonna be her card. Used the new xpress blending card from icopic on it. The paper is super smooth, you can really tell a difference from the Neenah I usually use and I agree there is no feathering but I don't think my colors blended as well. Maybe just some more practice. Not cheap stuff so it is gonna be used! Check back for my other post as I don't know how to put them all together in one yet. Patty Help!!!

Part two, kraftin kimmie challenge

This is the second part of my post today. I love kraftin kimmie stamps and my friend Patty is encouraging me to participate in challenges more so this is for the kraftin kimmie challenge this week. She is colored with copics on Neenah paper, stamped with memento tuxedo black and the dp is a new 6x6 pad from prima. Enjoy the weather today, starting to feel like fall!Posted by Picasa

A cat and a card...

Well, this is how my new lightbox was tested out. Apparently Lucy feels it is okay, not good enough to sleep in but big enough to fit her.

Copic class

Guess what I did today? Nope, not that either. I took a copic certification class here in Pittsburgh and guess who I sat by...Beate Jones from SCS (Splitcoast stampers for those of you not up on the abbreviations). Needless to say I tried not to say or do anything stupid and I think I may have succeeded. She is very personable and friendly and her work was awesome. Also want to thank Colleen Schaan (think I got the spelling right) as she was the teacher and made the class a lot of fun, the time just flew by. Now I need to hunt up or buy a blank journal to start making my sample book. Add one more thing to the list of stuff to do.

Oh, and also wanted to say "Hey" to my new buddy April. Wish we lived closer but where there is a will there is a way, (and an IKEA)!

Ok, this card is for my baby sister. We are constantly on a new diet and she is trying pretty hard this time. The inside says "you will always be my little sister". Seeing how she rarely checks my blog (bad sister Jenn) she will probably get the card in the mail before she sees it here.

Ok, supper is ready so will chat later.

Birthday for my father in law

Ok, tried using my light tent today. Better but still needs some work. I think this is mostly my angle as I was bending over and looking down at the card. I don't think I care for the white background much either. Need to find some colored paper for in the background I'm thinkin.

This image is by mo manning. Her images are so detailed and a lot of whimsical designs too. And most of them are only $3 each so you can get quite a few without breaking the bank.

Ok, let me know what you think. Constructive criticism is welcome!

I have followers!

Hey everyone! I know this may not sound like a big deal to you but I have 6 followers to my blog! And two ladies I have never met! Hi Patty and Sharon! I am having trouble with my email for some reason but I wanted to say thanks for the support and I will try to continue to post things of interest for all of you.

Now onto this card with the really poor picture quality and lighting. It is about 9pm so I have no daylight and I don't have my new light box set up yet so this is what you get since I have to give this card away tomorrow. This is for a friends 41st birthday and on the inside it says "from your 110lb friend". That saying is from Art Impressions, they have great hilarious stamps and sentiments. The stamp itself is a digi image from bugaboo stamps and the paper is Citronella by K and Company.

Alright, will try to get the light tent up and running over this (YEAH!) long weekend so you don't have to squint and turn your head sideways to make the card look good.
