It's feeling like fall at LCI!
Happy Tuesday all my fellow bloggers. Today I was chosen to pick the challenge for Totally ladybug Tuesday and I chose fall with the option of a fancy fold on your card. Now why I chose this option is beyond me because other than one or two easel cards I have never done any other type. But I guess it pushes me to try something new right?
I chose Frog chasing Jack and made a trifold card. I have shown you a picture of it both closed and open. I was going to decorate the inside and might still do it but the paper I used already has some texture to it and I like the look of it so it might just stay as it is. I have used a green satin ribbon to tie it shut and played around with my new copic airbrush. It is a little splotchy as I am still getting used to it but I think it makes the background look a little dirty and with Jack that is probably a natural thing for him! Besides, it is my blog and I can justify whatever I choose! Alright, let us see what you can make with a fall theme and/or a fancy folded card for your chance to win a free stamp or be chosen as one of the top three and get to place our banner on your sidebar.

Cute Card Thursday challenge
Good evening everyone. Well, I know it has been weighing heavily on everybody's mind how the first day at my new job went (quit rolling your eyes, I know you are!). Not bad but didn't really do much. Signed a bunch of papers, got pictures taken for my name badge, toured the building, all that mundane stuff. So far everyone is super nice but tomorrow starts the actual training so keeping my fingers crossed I manage to keep up. I'm not getting any younger you know!
Ok, onto my card which is for the weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge which is a sketch. The winner gets their choice of 2 images from Kraftin Kimmie and all my friends know I am a sucker for a chance to win some more of her stamps.
This is an image I just got but is from last years Halloween release. For some reason her skin looks really pale, not sure why but perhaps we will just think of her as a vampire hmmm? She is on this years K and Company Halloween papers with a recollections tag and glittered cat to add a little something extra. A big black bow with an orange and black button layered button to finish it off. I sort of think it looks like a big creepy eye but that is just me. Alright, that is it for me for tonite. Don't forget to check back tomorrow for my LCI post!

Anything goes at Paper Sundaes!
Hi everyone! This week at Paper Sundaes we are being sponsored by Michelles Scrapbooking and the challenge is "Anything Goes"! Pretty easy huh? So no excuse for you not to play along! My image is Fall Birgitta and I have 3D pieced her using defective Pinflair glue from my friend Elaine. She won't admit it but I think she is sabotaging my efforts! Just kidding, she is the best. Not her fault my glue exploded when I tried to squeeze it. I must be stronger than I thought!
For some reason it took me forever to finish this card. I have a ton of stickles on the sunflower centers and I think I bumped them 3 or 4 times and had to keep putting more on. Then I just couldn't find any embellishments I was happy with. Ever have days like that? Well, I had to get it done or miss the challenge and I think these work okay. Alright, time to take a break now but can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

New papers available
Just thought you guys might want to enter for chance to win some beautiful papers from a new company called Ridderesholm design. They are offering a selection of their papers and some candy to spread the word until October 15th. The badge is on my sidebar if you want to click there instead.
A Fairy cute image!
Poet and don't know it huh! This is my second post for today so if you are looking for the LCI blog hop just scroll down a bit and there ya go! This card is using a fairy by Mo Manning and they are having a Celebration challenge to celebrate their 100th challenge. Great prizes to be won!
I tried to color the image in a little bit softer colors and let the paper stand out since it is fairly bold, sorry but these pieces were in my scrap bin so I don't know who they are by but I believe the flower portion is K and Company from a year or so ago. A sentiment by LOTV with some gold stickles, flowers by WOC with some little cut off leaves from Michaels and some gold corner stickum things. Okay, gotta make it a fast post cause I need to head out to work now. Have a great day!
Challenges I am entering:
DP challenge Celebration
Flutterby Wednesdays An image with wings, pink, glitter and butterflies too

The Ladybugs are going digi!
I'm telling ya, I was so excited when Kerry told us this! I love rubber but I am loving digi's more. Price can't be beat, instant gratification and perfect image everytime I print. You should have arrived here from Gaelle but if not you can hop over to LCI and start at the beginning. We have 3 images to start with and some add on sentiments for everyone's favorite feline, Magnum. My image is called "Remote Control" but I have to say this isn't my husband and I. We make life simple and have seperate TV's!
I don't have a sentiment on here yet cause I am gonna buy the ones in the shop and use one of them. I added a transparency to the side of the image, never did that before, and have to say I am pretty darn pleased. Now it is time for you to hop over to Julie and see what gorgeous creation she has made. And here are the "rules" for the hop!
a) Visit each of the DT members in order and leave a comment on each of their blog hop posts.
b) Leave a comment on the Challenge Blog stating which is your most favourite of the new images once you have finished the hop.
c) Display the blog hop banner which is at the top of this post on your blog, either in a post or on your side bar.
The First Prize is the WHOLE DIGI RELEASE...that's 18 images in total!!!
and then 5 runners up will receive a digi of their choice
Winner and runners up will be chosen at random.
The hop will close 12pm midday GMT on Monday 12 September and the winner will be announced at 9am GMT on Tuesday 13th September
And the challenge this week is to use ANIMALS on your card, and with the digis now available you have no excuses not to play!

Simple and pretty
Another Monday for us but my last one at this job. Ohhh, getting nervous but excited to start my new job next week. Keep your fingers crossed for me that it is a smooth transition please! Ok, my card today is for Card Patterns and is a sketch. I tilted it on its side to work with this image. This is Suitcase Ruby and I just love those big eyes. No comments from the peanut gallery Patty!
I am just loving these Sparkle Creations stamps, they are a nice size and great detail. I have used American Crafts paper and smeared some glitter glue around the edges of the image. It has a nice sparkle in real life. A big glittered butterfly and a sentiment to finish it off. I think I will give this to my co-workers as they are having a cake tomorrow for me and my best friend that is also going to the new job. I will miss them but times change and it is time for me to move on. Enjoy your day!

Fall is in the air...
This is my second post for today, if you are looking for my Paper Sundaes post, please scroll down. The other card I made today was because I was in a fall mood. I am making chili today, gonna watch the game (Go Steelers!) and thought I would try to use my silhouette machine some more.
This image is by Pink Cat Studios and I am entering it into the All That Scraps challenge which is to make a fall themed card. I love the images ATS carries, CC designs being at the top of that list. I need to make a point of using them more. Anyways, my leaf border I cut out with my silhouette machine and painted with some Luminarte paints, it didn't come out as planned but it will do. I downloaded a free picture of an acorn, embossed it a bit to give it a little depth and glued those on as well. My flowers are from WOC and I glittered up the edges with some of the new MS glitter paint. Love that stuff! Ok, off to decide what is next on my list of things to get done today!

Paper Sundaes is using felt!
Sunday morning and time for a new challenge at Paper Sundaes. We are being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and the challenge this week is to use felt on our card. I have used a Greeting Farm stamp which Simon Says Stamp sells and some bright pink felt to make a "honkin huge" felt flower for on top of my bow.
A couple of the girls have asked me how I did it and I will tell you briefly and perhaps someday I will get ambitious and do a tutorial. I used a MFT flower die and cut out 4 flower shapes, doesn't matter which one you use, just personal preference. Then I folded each shape in half then in half again so it is quartered, put a stitch thru the bottom where all the folds meet and then stitch them all together at the bottom. Fluff it up and tada! honkin huge felt flower! Of course I could have gone with the smaller flower but honestly, this is for my friend Grace and she deserves a big flower! Hey Grace, Happy Birthdday! Alright, hop on over to Paper Sundaes so you can see what the other girls have done, such an amazing variety of ways to use felt I tell ya! I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Look at this ribbon!
Good morning everyone, a damp day here in Pennsylvania but a nice temp. Fall is just around the corner, you can feel it in the air but I love the cooler temps and the leaves changing, such a pretty time of year I think. Ok, enough rambling, my card for today is for a couple of challenges, the first one is for Kraftin Kimmie and that is to use one of the first stamps you received by her. My image is Clara and I have always loved her. She seems almost Victorian to me and so charming.
And the gorgeous ribbon you see running down the side is from my fellow ladybug (and owner) of Ladybug Crafts Ink, Kerry. She sent me some with my last order and the color is just stunning! To make sure nothing takes away from the color I kept the rest of the colors in the card pretty simple and used a bunch of taupe shades. The sentiment is a digi from Bizzy Becs and I put some scor tape down and crinkled the ribbon along it for some texture. The second challenge I am entering is A Card and a Half which my friend Clare's sister runs. They are asking that you add texture to your card and have a lovely sketch to follow, not too many layers which I like. So I pulled out one of my embossing folders which I really should use more often and centered my image in it then used some chalk to enhance the edges. Anita and Lisa, thanks for the tips and will let you know how the ink dusters work out by the way. Okay, time to make some tea and have some breakfast. Enjoy your day!

The Ladybugs are using flowers!
Well everyone, did you enjoy the new release of The Wrinklies? They seem to be a big hit and I certainly always appreciate the nice comments I get even if you HAVE to leave one to get entered for a prize! Our challenge this week is another easy one, just use flowers on your card.
I used Winestool Nikki and cut her out with a Marianne die. I tell you things went well until I tried to ink around the image. I have the worst time trying to make that ink on the edges look nice, any tips guys? Now I hate the way the edges came out so that is why the picture is smaller, no need to put it right in your face! But I didn't have time to color up another so learn from my mistake I guess. Some new MME papers and a sentiment from LCI and there you have it. Quick and simple! Oh, flowers are WOC by the way. Alright, get those blooms out of the closet for your chance to win a free stamp or the honor of posting our banner on your blog as one of the top three!

MFT is sponsoring Paper Sundaes!
This week we are being sponsored by MFT and the challenge is called Finishing Touches which basically means to decorate the inside of your card too. I always love it when people do that, it looks so finished but have to admit, I don't think I ever have. I am lucky to get the outside done!
The front of my card uses the Because you are special Pure innocence stamp and an upsy daisy dienamic for the layered flower on the front and the inside. I have also used the Decorative Doily dienamic for the inside portion layered over some brown cardstock with punched corners. Some red ricrac, a little brad in each corner and some jewels glued on for the flower centers and all done! Hope you can join us, can't wait to see all of your ideas! I am entering this card into the following challenges:
MFT sketch used above
The Spotted Chick Krafty Thursday
Cute Card Thursday use office supplies, I used brads
Truly Scrumptious decorate the inside

Sparkle and fly!
Ok, corny post title but I am just not that creative after a long day at work so lets just move onto the card.
My card today is for the Sparkle Creations challenge which is a sketch and since they are sponsoring Flutterby Wednesday I am gonna enter it too!
I have used some glossy accents on her boots, atyou spica pen on her glasses and some enamel accents on the lenses to make them really shine. Some glitter brads in each corner and some MS punched butterflies I coated with glitter by Sparkle and Sprinkle called Chantilly. This stuff will definitely be on my Christmas wish list, their glitters are so pretty and I especially love the multicolored ones like this one. Ok, off to do more paperwork but only two more weeks to go until I start my new job! Crossing fingers it all goes well!

Baby time!
Not for me thank heavens but for my good friend Sami! Not much longer and baby boy will be here so I figured I better get their card made. This is "baby blanket" by Mo Manning and since it is a boy, my colors were blue and yellow.
Now for some reason the blue is darker in the picture than on the card but if I didn't adjust it you couldn't see the shading on the baby. Darn camera! Couldn't possibly be me! I am entering this into the DP2 Challenge which is a sketch and you guys know how I love my sketches! Alright, time for me to take a break cause I am darn tired today. Adios amigos!

All that Scraps Challenge
Happy Tuesday everyone! Have you enjoyed the LCI Blog hop? If you haven't joined in just scroll down to see my earlier post and if you have then thanks for all your wonderful comments, really makes my day to read them all.
My post for now is for All That Scraps Wednesday challenge which is an inspiration picture. When I first started making cards I bought a ton of stamps from their store and when I saw the new release it really put me in the mood to pull out some of the ones I have and use them.
This is a new paper pad by Kaiserkraft, I think it is called Miss Nellie and I ADORE the papers in it. I am not much of a grungy, gray faded kind of person. I like bright happy colors and this paper has that and beautiful pinks and greens to boot! I have used the sketch from CPS and am entering my card into that challenge also and into Papertake Weekly which is Anything goes. Okay, time for my supper, enjoy your evening!

Wee stamps image
Well I am just going crazy with challenges on this card, three of them can you believe? I know that isn't much for some people but I am lucky to do one let alone three.
This is an image from Wee stamps by Sylvia Zet, just love these images, so cute. I have made the leaves, her trim and her wings 3 dimensional again, really looks nice irl. Tons of Glamour Dust on the fur trim and a cutout from my silhouette machine across the top. I started with a banner as indicated on the sketch but hated it and couldn't get it to work. Oh, and a metal corner from WOC, love those things, so pretty. Alright, I am entering this into the following challenges:
Basic Grey Challenge Celebrations
Sketch Saturday sketch used
Flutterby Wednesdays Celebrations

Paper Makeup stamps at Paper Sundaes!
Sunday again and time for another challenge at Paper Sundaes! This week we are being sponsored by Paper Makeup Stamps and we are to use a sketch designed by Lisa.
I love a sketch and use one for almost every card I make. I have a big stack of them sitting on my desk to go thru each time. The image I have used is called sourpuss and since I have two cats and loved his expression this was definitely the one for me.
The papers are by Authentique and I paper pieced the cloud, his head and tail and popped them up with the Pinflair glue that Elaine sent me. Adds just a little dimension when seen irl. A little rock candy stickles to the cloud, glitter pen to the raindrops and we are done! Ok, if you don't have an image by Paper Makeup stamps make sure you check them out as they have quite a variety!
I am entering this into the following challenges
Corrosive Challenge Anything funny
Charizma Cards Anything goes
Hanna and friends Brown and another color

Happy Birthday card for lotv challenge
Happy Thursday my friends! I would say it almost the weekend but since I am on vacation I don't care!!! Of course I will be back to work soon enough but that is just the way it is. No rich millionaires in my future to be my sugar daddy as far as I know! Alright, enough babbling. I made a card today for one of my best friends whose birthday is Saturday. And since I love the LOTV images I figured I would use their sketch for my card.
Missy has a big slobbery dog named Tucker but I think she will like the little one on this card too. Paper is new MME, lace from Walmart and roses from WOC. I will say I bought a couple of bottles of the new MS glitter paint and used it on the larger rose and I really like it. Lots of colors to choose from too. Ok, that is it for me tonite. Have a great weekend!
