Fantasy challenge at Mo's

Happy Halloween everyone! We don't really celebrate it at my house since we don't have children and we live on a dead end street so no one comes Trick or Treating either. And since I would only end up eating all the candy, that works out well!

Our next challenge for Mo's Digital Pencil challenge is to go with a Fantasy or Fantasy/Halloween theme. Fun huh? There are lots of images at the store and since they are all digi's, instant gratification!

I have used the Fortune Teller image for my card today, I love the dark mysterious look of her.

She is colored with copics and my paper is Graphic 45, a gift from my dear friend Patty. I love the rich colors to go along with this image. Flowers are WOC and the sentiment is from Whimsy. I have used some glossy accents on her crystal ball but of course you can't really see it in the photo. Alright then, go eat some chocolate to get a good sugar buzz going and whip out some projects for us to see! You could win a $5 credit to the store ya know!

Wonderful Wednesdays!

Would you like MORE chances to win our awesome Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps? We've created a fun new SHARE to WIN promotion called WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS!!! Wanna play?
Each Wednesday (except on release preview weeks) we'll be posting some creations by our fabulous Krafty Girls and we're asking YOU to share your Kraftin' Kimmie kreations here for a chance to WIN!! We started last week, so you can submit to last week's WW challenge AND this week's for a chance to WIN the October Kraftin' Kimmie prize pack!!! ...

I have used one of the new You're so Tweet images and layered some nesties up for a different look.

I have gone a little crazy with the frantage this time but it adds to the shabby look. I tried to color him up to look like a chickadee.

Your submission must use at least one Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp but can be any theme, any style, any design and it can be a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item....you name it!! It must be a NEW creation (so you can't submit something you made last year...haha!) and you can enter every week for a chance to win and at the end of the month, we'll draw a winner for a Kraftin' Kimmie Prize Pack!!! What do you think.....wanna WIN??

**Please note that you are more than welcome to combine this Share to Win challenge with other challenges, BUT not our regular weekly challenges. This must be a new and different creation than anything you create for our Saturday challenges.

Here is this week's Wonderful Wednesday inspiration to get you kraftin', thanks to our fabulous Krafty Girls!! Then....let's see YOUR kreations!!

Mo's favorite color

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having better weather then we are, it is cold and rainy here and expected to continue for awhile. Oh well, could be ice right? Always looking for the bright side! Today I have a card for the new challenge at Mo's DP2 Challenge and the challenge this week is to use Mo's favorite color which is YELLOW! I love yellow so this was easy for me.

This cutie is Waiting for Rain and the papers are scraps I had. I went thru a bunch of partially used paper pads and pulled out the papers I liked and the rest I gave to a friends daycare center. She is colored with copics, the lace is prima and the sentiments are Whimsy. I tried to remove the little acrylic birds as I changed my mind but they are stuck on there tight so there ya go.  Okay, we love to see what you show us and if you use a Mo's image you will be in the running for a $5 credit to the store. Good luck!

Vintage challenge

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to the latest challenge for Mo's Digital Pencil challenge blog and today our theme is "Vintage". This isn't my normal style but I have to say I love it and might do it a little more often.

I have used Ragged Angel on my card today and am really pleased with the way it came out.

She is colored with copics and although you can't see it there is a little bit of glitter on her wings, just a touch using a gel stardust pen. I have also frantaged the edges and added some liquid pearl berries to the holly diecut. The sentiment is from Whimsy. Papers are called "Norland" by Farmhouse I believe. They are my favorite xmas papers evah! Okay, thats it for me today, if you come back in awhile you will see another peak at the latest Kraftin Kimmie release too! And we would love to see you play along with our challenge for the next week, you could win a $5 credit to the store!

Batty Princess

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekend! Today's card is for the latest Kraftin Kimmie challenge which is "Back in Black" and is being hosted by the ever so wonderful Sharon. It is also our 200th challenge at Kraftin Kimmies woohoo! and to celebrate this week Kimmie is offering a prize package of one of her fabulous paper packages and a stamp, definitely worth playing for! I have used an older Halloween image, this is Batty Princess.

I tried to slightly spooky but not too over the top, papers are "Wicked" by MME, the skull is a from Michaels and I have used a MD punch for the spider web border. Okee dokee, hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and don't forget to check out the Frugal Friday specials for this weekend, Kimmie is still having a big sale thru Sunday to celebrate WCMD!

Something sweet!

Hello everyone! Today I am back with another card for Mo's Digital Pencil and our hostess this week is the wonderful Tracy and she is asking us to make something along the theme of "Something sweet or good to eat". Now, with the selection available at Mo's this should be a piece of cake, yes, pun intended!

I have chosen to use an older image, this is Dormouse and also my first attempt to color an entire image in pencils. I like the mouse but think I will be sticking to my copics.

Papers are an older MME pad and sorry but I didn't keep track of the pencils I used since I was just sorta grabbing whatever I thought might work. The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps and I have added some puffy paint and a touch of glitter to the cupcake. Okay, we love to see what you are able to show us so please play along and you will also be in the running for  a $5 gift certificate from the store. I can't wait to see what new images are coming up for winter!

Have some krafty fun and join us this week because we'd LOVE to see your KKS designs. We hope you can play along for your chance to WIN some Kraftin' Kimmie rubbah!!! ...

My image today is by Cheryl Alger from her Halloween Lulu set, I mean, cute and spooky just screams Cheryl Alger right?

I have tried to do an ombre look with the glitter background, not bad for a first try. I sprinkled black glitter across the bottom of some wide sticky tape then a pale orange across the top, trying to lighten it up as I sprinkled towards the center, then a dark orange in the middle. A bright orange bow, creepy kitty and a Halloween Trinket finishes it off.

Winter inspiration

Hello, everyone! Today is my last post as a guest designer for La-la Land Crafts and I want to thank Irina for her generosity and all of the girls for being so nice. Today we are being inspired by the theme "Winter" and I have used one of the older images but she is so pretty I had just had to pick her.

This is Christmas Lantern Marci and I have gone for a vintage feel to her. She does have a little sparkle on the edges of her collar and pockets but I don't think it shows well in the photo. I have frantaged the poinsettia with rose frantage and have used some silver glass glitter in the center.  My list of supplies and copics are below.

"H" is for Halloween...and HAPPY!!!!

Today is a very special day for me and do you know why? Because today I get to announce I am the newest member of Mo's Digital Pencil challenge team! I can't even put into words how thrilled I am. They are one of the teams I have followed since I started blogging and to be able to design for them, well, I am beyond honored. Trust me, I could go on and on about how happy I am but that isn't why you are here so onto my card. Today our challenge is to use something that begins with "H", whether it is the image, the feeling or the inspiration. I have gone with "H" is for Halloween and used one of the newer images Mo has designed, this is Tabitha.

I will list my copics below. I have also used a memory box die for my spider and covered it with some MS black glitter, the key and "spooky" diecut is from some Halloween embellishments I picked up last year, I keep all of my holiday themed stuff in boxes to go thru. Okay, make sure you hop over to the DP2 Challenge blog to see the guest designers that were chosen and to link up your image for a chance to win $5 to the store. Mo is always adding new images and if you are like me, I need to get started on my Christmas cards pretty soon!

Operation Write Home Blog Hop!

Hello Hopper! Thank you sooo much for coming by!
We brought our creativity together in the hopes that we would inspire you to join us (DT members) in doing a good deed!
Most of you know our Boys and Gals from the armed forces are deployed all over the world. Sometimes these men and woman are in places that make it very hard, or they’re far away from anywhere that they can pick up a sweet card to send a quick note home. Luckily, they have OPERATION WRITE HOME (OWH). OWH is a non-profit organization that sends special boxes filled with cards to soldiers all over the world. How can you help OWH keep the good deed going? Making cards!!! Yes! OWH angels receive tons of handmade cards from crafters all over the world, then they check and organize cards to be sent out to our soldiers. Take a look at some of their own words about OWH packs:
Now we would love for you to join us to help OWH. We thought it would be amazing fun to do a blog hop to inspire you! Design Teams from PaperTemptress, Oozak and Color me Creative Class will join together in one amazing Card Drive HOP. The fun just gets better! You can join in by making a project (following OWH – size and safety guidelines), entering a picture of the project on the hop inlinkz (One project linked per person please) then mailing the project to us. We would loooove it if you could send as many as you can by November 7th (we will screen them and send all of them to OWH) . You could win super prizes from amazing, super generous sponsors!!! YES!! You do a good deed and you also can win a sweet gift!!!
Thank you to our sponsors
♥♥♥
I am using an image by A Day for Daisies and some papers by The Paper Temptress who were both very generous and provided us with freebies for this hop. My image is called “Buddy” and I did a CAS card for me which is a bit of a challenge, along with being more of a boy card but our military are definitely worth the effort!

Anything goes at Oozak!

Good morning all my crafty friends, today I have my card for the Oozak challenge blog and although we started out with a "black and white" theme, we decided to switch it up and make it "Anything Goes" so easy peasy right? Well, I had decided to do something a little different and had used the black and white theme so I am gonna show it to you anyways, be nice okay?

This was a big challenge for me, only using the two colors. I just want to put something colored on it somewhere! I tried to do CAS with some dimension (all of the panels are matted and layered) but I still think it looks kinda flat. I am going to include this with my other cards for the Operation Write Home drive and if you come back tomorrow you can join in with us for the blog hop and your chance to win some prizes too. Plus, helping our military stay in touch with their families which is the best thing of all.

Just Rite stamps  (mine is an older set, Rusty has all the gorgeous new ones though!)
Copic X-press it cardstock

X-press it foam mounting tape
Liquid pearls  (I used adhesive ones but these would work great!)
