Put your pedal to the metal...

Thank heavens it is the weekend! And not only that but you get to see the final release for the new Kraftin Kimmie Klubhouse images and this last one is gonna blow you away!

Isn't she too cute? I tried to keep up with the retro look and give her whitewall tires too along with some glossy accents on her glasses and the windshield. And the best part is our challenge this week is set by Sharon who would like to see us use metal on our cards. Perfect timing! I have used some thin metal sheets I had, embossed them and then cut them out with a flower die and added a button. Alright, the stamps are now available in the store and if you play along in the challenge you even have a chance to win this image, good luck! And don't forget about the Frugal Friday specials available now, this week they are : Gabrielle, Wednesday, Monique, Little Summer Boy, Biking Buster and Lots of Love 1! All 40-50% off!!!

Hi everyone and welcome to day two of the new Moonlight Whispers special release for Kraftin Kimmie stamps! You should have arrived here from Cheryls blog and I am sure her card is awesome, I haven't seen one from her that wasn't! My card was made for a new friend who is getting to stay at home with her new little boy.

I have used some new Cosmo Cricket papers and my new love, Shinhan touch twin markers that I bought from Susana's. Elaine was nice enough to set up 3 marker sets that blend well together so that is a great way to start a new collection, thanks Elaine! Alright, make sure you come back to tomorrow for the final new image and of course, the new Kraftin Kimmie challenge! And next on the hop is the awesome Michele!

Happy Birthday Christy!

Hi everyone! Today we are celebrating our fearless leaders birthday so Happy Birthday Christy Croll! This is a surprise to her so I hope she enjoys it and I also want to thank Melissa for arranging the entire thing. We tried to go with "something from the heart" for the theme and since her favorite colors are black and red that was my starting point.

I have used one of the new Wryn images called Wrynn and Emmy BFF because I consider Christy not only an awesome designer but a friend as well. Lots of glitter and lots of birthday wishes Christy! This is my first attempt at black hair and I think it is a little on the gray side but since I already mailed her card I can't fix it! Oh well, live and learn. Make sure you check back next week for our big release with guest designers and prizes to be won!

Want some ice cream?

Hi everyone! Half way to the weekend, not much planned here except cleaning and crafty time but that suits me just fine. Poet and don't know it huh! Alright, today I have a card from Eat Cake Graphics that just makes me smile looking at it.

This is called Unselfishness and if I had a dog I would definitely share my ice cream too. As it is I think my older cat Sinbad tastes just about everything we eat. "Hog" would have been a better name for him. He has to sniff everything you are cooking with in case he "might want to try it". Darn cat! And the worst part is we do it, darn kitty parents I guess!

Now, I love the new Wryn images but Lilli Claire is still my fav image and this is Lilli Claire party time. Perfect image for a birthday card right? Papers from my stash, I think they are My Minds Eye from last year and the liquid pearls are from Susana's. She even has all of the new colors in stock now, LOVE my liquid pearls! Alright guys, your turn to make a birthday card and please make sure to use a Tiddly Inks image to be in the running to win some free digi's.

Time to go GREEN!

Finally Saturday and you know that means another Kraftin Kimmie challenge and today our hostess with the mostess is Melanie and she has used one of the new releases called Calla Lily with the request  that we "go green" and recycle something in our cards. I have used some lace I cut off of a scrub top I was not going to be wearing anymore on my card.

I have also used one of the new images, Poppy, one of my favorite releases ever I have to say! I have also used a sentiment from the new Flower sentiments. Colored with copics, MFT flower dies and paper from My Minds Eye finish it off. And while I have your attention, make sure you check out the store for the Friday Frugal specials and Monday we have something special coming up so stay tuned...

A lovely spring day

How is everyone today? I hope you are all having the lovely weather we have been having for the last week or so. I keep expecting another cold blast to come thru but I will enjoy it while I can! My card today is from Eat Cake Graphics and reminded me so much of the weather we are having now I just had to make up a quick little card.

This image is called Abundance and I really liked all the little butterflies she has around her. Just a quick card to keep on hand. I don't always put sentiments on my cards then when I need one I can use if for most occasions and add a sentiment later if I want. Have a wonderful day!

Wryn and friend

Good morning everyone! Have you been enjoying all of the new Wryn releases? Well hang on tight cause there are more to come! Today my card features one of the images available in the set Wryn and friends and was inspired by Lou's son Mo.

I am loving this turquoise and orange combo lately and that is surprising cause normally I am not a fan of either color. The paper is from the new My Minds Eye The Bright Side collection which I picked up from Susana's. Some stickles around the edge of my nestie and some simple embellishments finish it off. Don't forget you still have another week yet to enter our "Friends" challenge and your chance to win some free digis!

Best friends...

Well, this post could go out to several people cause I don't think I could name any one person as my "best" friend. I am lucky enough to count several people as being very close to me and friends I could call on at any time if I needed something. But this is the challenge this week at Tiddly Inks, make a card for your Best Friend.

I loved this image as soon as I saw it and funny enough, it is called Best Friends. What is sweeter than a cat and dog together snuggling? Ok, time for you to show us your awesome cards, we have had some beautiful entries over the past few weeks!

Time to CASE a card!

Happy Saturday everyone and don't forget to set your clocks ahead an hour tonite! Any thing to bring us a little closer to spring makes me happy! Today I am your hostess for the Kraftin Kimmie challenge and I would like to see you CASE one of the dt members cards. I love Michele Boyer and her whimsical cards so I chose to CASE this particular card this week.
and this is my take on it.

This is Lulu with a Teddy Bear from the new Lulu and friends release available now. Some Heide Grace papers and a flower from my stash. I even tried to copy her stitching and am really pleased because I have never done the partial stitching around an image before. Alright, pick anyone of the Krafty girls and CASE one of their cards and you will be in the running to win the Lulu image on my card today. Good luck! And make sure you check out the Frugal Friday specials at the store, this week the specials are Cinderella, Willard, Canine Capers 2, Baking Elf, Scripture Quotes and Chillin' with My Friends!! All will be 40-50% OFF!

Tiddly Inks card

I have another card for you today and this time the image is by the awesome Tiddly Inks and the image is   Lilli Claire Did You Hear?

I love the new Wryns but Lilli Claire also ranks up there as one of my fav's, (Mavis too!). I have used a MFT fence and flower die and tilted the image a bit to add a little character to the card. Alright everyone, I hope you have a fabulous weekend and make sure to come by next Tuesday for a new image. Just sayin!

Just a little tag

TGIF everyone! Do you have fun plans for the weekend? I have lots of cards to make and we might go to the Home and Garden show, have to see how the cards go and the weather. But it is still two days off and with my hubby so that is always a good thing.

Today is just a little tag I made for a friend of mine to make her smile when she sees it.

The image is called Gertie in her hat and the sentiment can also be found at the store. This was to remind her of her mom who has Alzheimers but LOVED chocolate so I hope it brings back good memories when she uses it. Have a great weekend!

A card for Mothers Day

Well, I saw several challenges I wanted to enter, which I haven't done in a loooong time, so I made up my mom's Mothers Day card a little early. Probably one of the few times I am done ahead of schedule!

I tried the 3 dimensional technique that Mariska uses and am fairly happy with it. I had the glue (thanks Elaine!) and just got some syringes recently from Whimsy stamps which makes it much easier to be precise. Unfortunately the tail of my bow is a little wonky but I am pretty sure my mom won't care, it's handmade right?  I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Crafty Ribbons  make a card for mom
All that Scraps Wednesday challenge  use "sparkle"
Simon Says Stamp  for mom or a special girl
Touch twin marker challenge  color challenge

Flutterby Wednesdays in hoping for Spring!

Today's Flutterby Wednesday challenge is being sponsored by the digital store Robyns Fetish and our challenge for you this week is to make a "Spring themed" card or project. The image I chose to use is called Waking up Birdie.

I am still working on coloring wood but it isn't too bad. You can only improve with practice right? Some nice spring colors and of course, my butterfly and I am ready to go. Please make sure you use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your project to qualify for any prizes. I also want to thank Danni for being such a wonderful dt leader as this is my last week with the Flutterby Wednesday girls. Just need to find a way to spend some more time with the hubby as I work afternoons and he does days. Thanks Danni, and all the girls, you have been wonderful to work with!

Wryn eggspecting

Good morning fellow bloggers! Today I am showing off another new Wryn image available today over at Tiddly Inks called Wryn eggspecting.

Is this image not sweet or what? I am so glad Christy keeps making them, I absolutely lope them all. This is some new Bo Bunny paper I got and it just was begging to be used. A new Memory Box die that I embossed with some coppery embossing powder and some gorgeous little crystal like flowers that Susana sent me with my last order. They were the perfect touch although the white ones are a little difficult to see in the photo. Alright, hop on over to the shop now to pick up the new image!I would like to enter this into the Craft your Passion challenge which is anything goes.

Double trouble!

Saturday at last! Hope everyone has had a great week and are looking forward to an awesome weekend. Today's post is for the challenge at Kraftin Kimmie's and our hostess this week is Cheryl and she wants us to use two images on our project. She has used the awesome new image Gadget Girl on her card and if you play along and your name gets picked then you get this stamp, for free!

I have used two of the fairy stamps by Annie Rodrigue and tried to use my background paper as the setting for a little forest scene. I made my own pearl flourish by cutting out an acetate flourish then using liquid pearls on it. Not too bad but can use some practice. One tip I forgot, when you are cutting out images this closely, it is always nice to outline them in black marker, makes them look a little more finished. I tried to pull mine off to fix it but they aren't going anywhere now! Also, the Frugal Friday specials are now available so click on the link to see what is on sale, but only til Sunday!
