It is SCACD time at Flutterby Wednesdays!

Happy Wednesday my friends! Today the Flutterby Wednesday girls are being sponsored by Susana at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. And I am telling ya, if you have never shopped there before you don't know what you are missing. I buy a LOT of stuff from Susana and she is one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. Her selection is awesome and great prices on her products and shipping too.

My image today is one of the new releases at the shop by Sylvia Zet and her name is Elania.

Danni challenged me to use the mermaid image and to make sure I added my butterfly. Well, I have to say this is one of my favorite cards EVAH so thanks for the challenge Danni! Ok, make sure you check out what the other girls are showing, they are all stamps featured in Susana's shop and you can't win if you don't play along!

A cherry on top Wryn!

It is a lovely day outside, sun is shining and I can hear some birds chirping. What a great way to start the day! And just as wonderful is a new Wryn image from Tiddly Inks! This is called Wryn with a cherry on top and she is adorable, as they all are though right?

I have colored her with copics and added some rock candy stickles to her cupcake to give the impression of sprinkles on it. Some lace for a little girl and the included sentiment and she is finished. Ok, make sure you hop over to the store cause she is available right now!

Pull out that fabric!

Good Morning everyone! Time for another Tiddly Inks Challenge and this time we would like you to use fabric somewhere on your card or item. Now I will say, I struggled a bit with this one. I wanted to do something really neat and original but after 3 different flowers and two different types of fabric I went with a classic fabric yo-yo.

I have used another new image by Christy called Silver playtime and I have once again been inspired by Jen to do a little doodling and keep it CAS. I believe this image is inspired by Christy's new puppy and there are several others in the store if you want to hop over and take a peek. Alright, time to inspire us and show us what you go do with fabric. Also make sure you check out the other girls to get your creative juices flowing!

Sketch time at Kraftin Kimmies!

Happy Saturday everyone! It is time for another sketch challenge at Kraftin Kimmie's and it is by the awesome Pam. She has used the new Coffee Crusader  and if you play along you are in the running to win this stamp! I love her coloring, it is always so bright and cheery.

Here is our sketch for this week. Sorry it is a little blurry.
and here is my take on it.

This image is from the latest release and she is called Marvelous Mom. Now this is definitely not me as I don't have a baby strapped to my chest but I know plenty of women this applies too so hats off to you if you can relate! And make sure you head over to the store for the latest release and the Frugal Friday specials before they are all gone!

Hello!

And that is also the sentiment on my card today which is an Eat Cake Graphics image called Hadley and kitty give Buddy a hug.

I have used various papers from my stash, some twill ribbon and a MFT dienamics for the little cream colored charm. Please make sure you hop on over to Holly's shop if you want to see a bunch of whimsical funny stamps and I will be back in a couple of days with a little tag I made too.

Flutterby Wednesdays inspiration time

Happy Wednesday everyone! That means it is time for another Flutterby Wednesday challenge and this week we have an inspiration photo and it  is gorgeous.

I have used one of my Tiddly Inks images called Fairy Fae.

I went a little crazy, well for me anyways, and gave her pink hair. I colored up some white flowers with my twinkling h2o's so they have a nice shimmer and it is also a nice way to get exactly the color you want. A die cut stem and some liquid pearls on the flowers finishes it off. Alright, time to get inspired but make sure you use a butterfly, angel or fairy on your project, we all gotta follow the rules some of the time ya know!

Another new Wryn!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Have you been playing along with the sparkle challenge at Tiddly Inks this week? Remember they are every two weeks now which gives you plenty of time to play and you could win some new digis, you might even choose the one I used today!

This is Wryn Whatcha doin? and is now available at the store. This is quite pastel for me, making me step out of my comfort zone a bit. I know some of the other girls have made up some cards for you to look at so hop on over to Christy's blog and see what they have come up with!

Just because...

Guess what I did last night? I made a card cause I wanted to! I haven't done that in awhile and when I came across this challenge Skipping Stones,  I knew I wanted to play along. Mostly cause they have this new set of kitty cat stamps that are soooo darn cute!

I have had this gnome set for awhile but have never used it cause the stamps are so tiny. I am use to much larger images but this is a 5x5 card and I think he fits on it really well. I followed the sketch over at Skipping Stones and I think he came out really cute. I whipped this one out pretty quickly due to the small image, only took me about an hour from start to finish. Ok, shower time then off to work!

Coffee Crusader but tea for me please

Happy Saturday everyone and hope you are here to see the new Moonlight Whispers by Annie Rodrigue. They will be available tomorrow at Kraftin Kimmie's along with the new lulu's and the Tweets and Twitters. Also make sure to comment on everyone's blog for your chance to win some new rubbah! I am also using Michele's sketch this week which you can use to play along with us on the Kraftin Kimmie challenge blog for your chance to win the new Coffee Crusader image which is also the one I have chosen to use.

This is Coffee Crusader but for me she is more of a tea kinda girl as I don't drink coffee. I used some older My Minds Eye papers, some twill ribbon and although you can't see it the steam in her coffee has some clear glitter pen throughout to make it shine. Did everyone get to see the livestream video of Annie Rodrigue the other day, what did ya think? Isn't she just amazing? Alright, make sure you come back tomorrow for some more inspiration and a chance to win some more stamps. Today you will be in the running for two sets of three new Moonlight Whispers images. I know, Kimmie is one generous person!

This one is for Coco...

Today is our second revealing of the new stamps at Kraftin Kimmie's and today we are featuring Emilie Goulet and her "Tweets and Twitters". There are two sets available so make sure you check out all the other girls to see them all.

I am loving this card! It is actually a little more bright irl but I have been fiddling with my lights when taking pictures and have been getting a lot of shadows lately. I was a little nervous coloring his feathers but am really pleased with how they came out. Oh, and Coco is my friend Joan's bird, he doesn't really like me but this is for him anyways! Make sure you comment on everyone's blog to be in for a chance to win some stamps from the new "Tweets and Twitters"! Two sets means two people are gonna win!

Let it rain!

Today starts the revealing of the February stamps for Kraftin Kimmie and we are starting off with the wonderful Cheryl Alger and some new lulu stamps!

This is umbrella lulu and I think she is adorable, look at her happy little frog friend! I know it is sort of bright but this time of year I think bright colors are definitely warranted. Ok, please make sure you comment on everyone's blog for your chance to win the newest set of lulu's and to see what the other girls have made, you know you are gonna be impressed, I always am!

Anyways, enough babbling, todays card is for this weeks Flutterby Wednesdays challenge which is everyone's favorite, "Anything with Wings"! My image is from Sugar Nellie and was a gift from my buddy Elaine.

Another new Wryn!

Good Morning everyone! I have another Tiddly Inks card for you this morning with, guess what, another new Wryn image! I swear everytime I visit someone's blog I see her and I am not surprised, she is so adorable! The new image I have used is called Spring Bling and she is available in the store now.

I have to tell you, I love this card! You know how sometimes it just all works out? Well this is one of those times but I think that beautiful floral paper helped, I could use it on just about every card I make right now so don't be surprised if you see it again soon! Okay, make sure you scroll down to see my challenge card for this week for Tiddly Inks, time to get your sparkle on!

Time to Sparkle!

Well it is Tuesday and that means a new challenge over at the Tiddly Inks site. And this time our challenge is one of my fav's, "Sparkle"! I used some new papers with one of my fav color combos, black, pink and lime green and there is already some sparkle on the papers plus of course I had to add my own bling!

I have used Wryn blooms and added some stickles to the flower centers. The sentiement is also from Tiddly Inks. Have you stopped by the blog lately to see the new Wryn images? Christy has been one busy lady! Ok, your turn to add some sparkle and let us see you shine for your chance to win some free images from the store!

Marguerita time!

Well, seeing as how it is still winter I thought maybe everyone would like to have a little taste of some tropical weather so I made a couple of cards with that in mind.

I am not much of a drinker so not sure what type of alcoholic beverages these are but the colors worked for me. I added some glitter to the edges of both images using tearific tape and the fabulous glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle. The instructions for both cards are available in the gallery. Hope these made you feel a little warmer!

Pearls and Pins and Annie Rodrigue!

Whew, what a title! Time for another kraftin kimmie challenge and this time Sandie is requesting that we use pearls and pins on our card. Well, I had great plans for this challenge but alas, time got away from me and it is much simpler than what I had planned.

I have used Arianna and my plan was to have little pearl bubbles around her but things don't always work out as planned but I still like her! I think she has a little bit of a tropical feel to her which I nice. Also a reminder that next Wednesday, the 15th, Annie Rodrigue is gonna have a live demonstration so make sure you  go to livestream at 6pm to tune in! She is gonna demonstrate the stamp designing/making process from beginning to end.  Pretty sure if you go to the Kraftin Kimmie's facebook page (I am sure you have already liked it right?!) then you can sign up and there might be some more stuff being given away. Just sayin!

LOVE challenge for Flutterby Wednesdays

Happy Hump Day my blogging friends! Today is Wednesday which is of course, Flutterby Wednesday time and our challenge this week is based on the word LOVE.

L  Two or more layers
O  Odd number of embellishments
V  Use the color violet on your card
E  Any other color except red

Whew! I started with a nice springtime image from Lili of the Valley and grabbed some violet papers and let it roll!

My embellishments are a flower, bow and butterfly, that is how I am seeing it anyways! No red in sight and I always do more than two layers so that was easy for me. Ok, guys, off to work for me, hope your week is going well and make sure you stop by tomorrow for the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog hop.

I would like to enter this into the Lili of the Valley challenge which is spring colors.

Uptown girls for a friend

Well, we are moving into Sunday evening and I managed to get several cards done this weekend, one for  a friend who is leaving my workplace so this is a good luck card for Karen.

Karen is a girly girl who likes wine and cats so I got the wine and girly part in there! And I finally gave in and cup up a sheet of this paper that I liked so much. I followed the sketch over at Stamping Bella for a chance to win some more of these girls, I just wish I was this thin... Hope everyone has a great week!

I am also entering this into the All That Scraps challenge.

Happy Birthday Kimmie!!!

Happy Saturday all my blogging friends! What a hectic week this has been. Our computer system at work decided it didn't want to work on Thursday so Friday was spent making calls and trying to enter Thursdays paperwork. Needless to say the day went really fast!

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is simple this week. (do I sound like a spy movie?) Just make a birthday card! We are celebrating Kimmies 41st birthday and in case you didn't see my post yesterday, Kimmie is being very generous and giving us a gift! I do believe there is also some giveaways happening on her facebook page so lots of chance to win stuff.

This is one of the Lulu's we have been having so much fun with. She comes in the Sugar and Spice set and you not only get her, but two other images and several sentiments. What a deal huh? I tried to use some bright papers (surprised are ya?) and some flowers to give her a feminine touch. I am thinking of putting some glitter on her somewhere though, just doesn't seem finished otherwise. Ok, enough babbling from me. Go wish Kimmie a Happy Birthday and treat yourself to stamps girls!

Friday, February 3, 2012

It's Kimmies birthday and she is having a sale!

Today is a special day cause it is Kimmie's 41st birthday! And being the wonderful thoughtful person she is, she is giving US a birthday gift! She has picked out 100 of her favorite stamps and they are on sale for $4.10 or 41% off in celebration of the big day. Yes, $4.10 or 41% off, that is correct. But it is only for the next couple of days so make sure you skedaddle over to the store to stock up on your fav's now. And wish Kimmie a Happy Birthday while you are there!

February challenge at Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hi everyone! If you are looking for my Flutterby Wednesday post it is just beneath this one.

Today marks the beginning of the February challenge for Sparkle N Sprinkle and there is another sketch to follow. I really had to work a bit on this one but am pretty pleased with the results.

I don't know if you can see in the photo but the embossing powder I used is a combination of purple and green and really mixes well with the colors in the card. I made some little flowers from some punches and added pearl centers to them. All in all a bit of an elegant card for me, something that I don't do that often but always nice to step out of our comfort zone. Ok, make sure you enter for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice, you have until the end of the month. And don't forget about our Spring Blog hop, it is next week, Yikes! All instructions and supplies for this card can be found in the gallery at Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Flutterby Wednesday sponsored by Rhoda Designs

Well, half way thru the work week again! And that means it is time for another Flutterby Wednesday challenge and this week we are being sponsored by a new store for me, Rhoda Designs. She has an etsy store that you need to check out if you love digis.

I have chosen to use a Nellie Snellen image this week. She was one I HAD to have and then she got set aside and never used. I love her, I actually love all the Nellie Snellen images so this was an easy card.

I also used a MFT die for the flower with a rhinestone in the center encircled by some stickles, sentiments are by Whimsy and the papers are Echo Park. I have to say I am really pleased with this card and by now it should be in the hands of my buddy Renae for her birthday. Alright, make sure you include your angel, fairy or butterfly when you link up your card and you could be in the running for a gift certificate to Rhodas shop!
